Bendix Ultimates are good, but can be a little dirty.

    Little dirty? *coughs*

Yes, they are a good pad for the price but just so bloody dusty.

I had the Ultimates on last time, I personally don't do too much hard driving in my Zed so after a while i couldn't validate cleaning all the brake dust off my rims every week for good stopping power that i never really used to full potential.

I then switched to Bendix Advance pads, which are still a good pad for stopping but hardly make any dust on your rims in comparison. Very happy with these.

    Yeah, Ultimates are great...

...but so incredibly dusty. Tried a set of Hawk HPS pads from Coz, and they were quite frankly garbage. Currently got a set of the QFM HPX pads that are being sold on the forums at the moment, so far heaps better than the Hawks, not quite as good as the Ultimates, but not nearly as dusty. So so far they're looking pretty good.

As Chad said! I know this is a shameless plug, but the proof is in the pudding, and I'm sick of seeing people buying 'name brand' pads when there are far better pads out there for the dollars...

If you're just after a good street pad the HPX is 'Bendix Ultimate' type performance, minus the dust and rotor wear... And with better cold bite than something like an EBC Green.

But if track work is on the Agenda, then the A1RM is still a 100% streetable pad, but with trackable performance. Only compromise over the HPX is a little bit of dust, but no where near as bad as something like a Bendix Ultimate or Lucas. Still low rotor wear given the bite, only yesterday I was showing a customer our rally car that's now on its 2nd set of A1RM on these rotors, with absolutely no rotor wear that we can feel!

HPX, $79 a set front or rear. A1RM $119, still available with the half price rears group buy pricing... I'll get sick of underselling these pads and stop doing that deal one day! :p

Just a cheap, basic entry level pad. Personally the only GCT gear we stock is for a specialized SAAB dealer where alot of the weird stuff isn't available from anyone else cheap, but I avoid selling them where I can. They're certainly not a performance pad by any stretch, but people seem to like them, depends how much you pay for them really! As above, there's better pads out there for the dollars, but if performance isn't really of concern then they'll do the job fine.

    These sound great!

Maybe promote yourself in the For Sale By Business section for these, as maybe not enough people know about these pads you offer. (i know i didn't )

    - or even better, someone who has used these pads can write a review on them for the product review section which will include your website, pricing and contact details. :zlove:

If you sell a pad with the grip of a Bendix Ultimate but no dust and not much rotor wear then these will be a best seller!

ive just installed some new slotted/dimpled rotors front+rear along with some a1rm pads fronts+rears.

the braking performance is great. ive used them on the track and i use them on the road atm and they are sweet ;) ;)

it will be interesting to see how long my rotors will last this time. i will stick with the a1rm's and see how long my rotors last.

with bendix ultimates my rotors were finished and lasted me 2years. we'll see how well this combination holds up....

as for comparing braking performance its a lil hard because i now have brake ducting and before i didnt.... plus i only had stock rear rotors.

but now my braking performance is awsome. (slotted/dimpled rotors front+rear - a1rm pads fronts+rear - front brake ducting)

brake dust is heaps less than what the bendix ultimates use to make aswell...

They are in the for sale by business :p But I need to start a new thread with A1RM in the title as well, on the to do list...

That would be muchly appreciated, they'd be over a dozen people know that have either bought the A1RM or HPX from that for sale thread as above.

The biggest selling point of the HPX is its low dust and rotor wear, whilst still being a 550 degree pad, and is something that's catching on pretty quickly! If people want the ultimate in street performance, then the A1RM still has less dust and rotor wear than a Bendix Ultimate or EBC Green, but with 780 degree performance, and what we personally run in our rally car. AMS hands down. can't beat the performance for the price, ESPECIALLY now with the at-par deal.

I have been running the HPX on the front of the convertible for a couple of months now. I have not noticed any dust and the difference to whatever pads were there before is that they perform near 100% from the very first application.

I have the AMS carbon composite ones, can be a bit dusty and does squeak quite often. I am using them with the Z1 2pcs BBK and brembo rear rotors. TBH I wont get them again, will look for something less noisy.

With the bracket relocation on the 2-piece rotors every pad will squeek as the pad does not sweap the rotor 100% (over-hang). We have a local owner with the Concept Z kit and no matter what pads he used the result was the same - lots of sweaking and more dust than usual. The last pads he installed were the AMS which diminished these effects but did not eliminate them!
