Made a carbon fibre 2/2 Twill 3k nose panel Weight is about 170g ☺ Straight from the mould roughly trimmed Quick clean up
Not to divert from your build thread, but your CF parts. Vac molding or are you making a cast mold top and bottom and layering the sheet? Looks pretty mint. Impressed. And forget the "this part already exists" comment. I personally prefer a person that can make their own products and put into use. Not all want to just buy from the shopping lists available. haha.
Agreed, very impressive this whole thread, been away for a bit (uni) decided to jump in and take a look and this is the first thing I saw. Very very nice.
HI guys sorry not had time to get on Yea I'd much prefer to make my own parts I've not had to buy anything other than materials so far I'm using resin infusion process on all carbon parts using a uni mould system taking the moulds from oem parts Yes I can make another for anyone interested
Depends if you could get a group buy together as I'd have to make a mould for one which is the expensive part a mould alone will cost ?400gbp then there's the making of the part
If you just want a one off it would roughly be 1250gbp plus shipping if you got a group buy together it would be less
If you could get at least 5 people wanting one I'd cover the cost of the mould price would be discounted to 700gbp
that's a good discount. will be a struggle to find the numbers here. why is everything I want priced to kill me
I know what you mean it's the strong currency at the minute that doesn't help If you can get enough together let me know Or if you need anything else
