    Hi guys,

Sadly it is time for me to sell my baby.
Lovingly owned for 5 years, i think i would struggle to find something i haven't modified or tightened a nut or bolt on.

1990 Australian Delivered 2+2 Targa. Started life as an NA and within the past 12 months been converted to a Twin Turbo. Changed the gearbox but kept her an auto.

Full bodykit, brazilian and moulded side skirts. The car received a full respray from In Style Custom Panel & Paint late last year and had a fair bit of work done through Precise Suspensions & Automotive.

17inch wheels, chromed and polished engine bay with blue silicon hoses. All the plenum bypass has been done including removal of AIV, EGR and PRVR. A lot of maintenance work was done before the TT motor was installed with new rubber just about everywhere possible.

The interior has been redone with recovered seats and new black cloth on all other interior pieces. Saber defi gauges for water and boost mounted on the pillar and Greddy turbo timer and boost controller mounted beneath the CD player.
In the boot you'll find a 12 inch Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, 4 channel amp and custom installation allowing plenty of space to utilise and easy access to spare wheel and tools. The sound system also comprises of Alpine motorised HU, Alpine front splits and Rockford Fosgate rears.

Brand new slotted rotors all round, brand new pads and fully rebuilt front calipers.

The car looks silver but in the sun has a metallic silver and blue tinge to it - when polished up looks unreal.

The car sits on lowered king springs and sits just above 10cm off the ground.

A lot of time, work and effort has gone into this car and many of the long term members on here can vouch for the car.

Asking $15,000 but open to offers.

    If interested, give us a call: Jay 0421 457 841 or jay.walter@ruralbuilding.com.au
I've got plenty of pictures on everthing done to the car which will be provided to the buyer along with all the receipts and log books for the car.

Man don't sell it you have an awesome car there, i bet it cost you more than double what your selling it for

I have the receipts to prove it cost me more than double!!!

Sadly i don't have the space to keep it in my garage anymore so it's kept nearby in another garage at my Nan's. This has meant the car doesn't get run much and I would rather see it out on the streets getting driven than in a garage under a cover.

Priced well below what i have spent on it but i'm keen to move her on and hopefully someone can pick up a car in perfect running condition.

Probably also worth mentioning is that i have a stock bonnet which I can throw in and the stock nose panel in case you feel like changing the look a bit!

As a "former owner" you know when the time is right to sell or "give up" the project...

Pretty sure you'll still be around :)

We should start a former owners club, might have a few WA members by now lol :p

Nice looking car jaybo. Does the engine have stock internals? Running stock boost? What are the mods supporting the TT.

Check link below...when he started to do the TT conversion. as far as update moved it has stock TT motor with stock turbos. Buy Jay can correct that if I am wrong. Sad to see Jay has decided to sell the car. Good luck with the sell.

    hey mate,

    Stock internals, running 14psi boost.
Nothing really extensive running the mods, just a good running stock TT.
The appeal of the car is the peace of mind that all the tricky jobs down the side of the motor have been done ;)

i'll definitely still be around Mickey - made some really good friends here i want to stay in touch with. Just feel bad having this sitting in the garage and need the money for the mortgage.

I don't know if it's worth adding - i had the alternator rebuilt and polished before putting it back on, i also have the stock bonnet still if people want to change between the black bonnet etc.
When this car was repainted all the panels were fitted and moulded to fit accordingly with straight flush lines so doesn't look like a cheap add on kit. The side skirts are in fact off a BMW and been modifed to suit.

Those who know me know i don't like to cut corners and i'm pretty anal with what gets done on the car. I have a heap of spares which i am happy to throw in with the car too.

If anyone is looking to undertake a mass project -this is a great way to pick up a car that has had everything done to it without spending big $$. If you would like to make an offer, please do not hesitate to contact me. All will be considered, just not necessarily accepted :)

Random piccie request, have you got a piccy of the underside of the bonnet where you aerocatches come through the bonnet? I need to put mine on soon and I'm keen to see how you did it :)

GL with the sale, but I reckon you should keep it :)

very nice, if i had a spare 15k around I would buy, sorry to get off topic but i've got a question, how much did the twin turbo conversion cost and how hard was it to do? (would actually like to know how much pretty much everything youv done costs because im planning on doing similar things to mine, which is why it would have been nice to see it before i bought mine) but i'l stick to that question as i've really been wanting to know lol

Haha good question - too much to be honest mate.
The TT conversion cost me about 3k for the half cut, then i would have spent another 3k at a guesstimate on parts, chroming, polishing, painting etc. Keep in mind i bought a lot of parts from the states so shipping is in there as well.

Not saying to buy mine, but to be honest mate, you'll save yourself a lot of time and money buying a car in good nick as it is with the conversion done. I went down the same path you are going down over a year ago and whilst my car had a lot of sentimental value, looking back now i don't think it's worth it. I had owned my car for a few years before that as well. by the time i had done the work to my car, it had lost that sentimental value as i changed everything on it.

you're better off selling your zed now, and spending the money on one with the work already done. whilst mine cost a lot of money, what i wanted out of it was the experience of converting a car to twin turbo and saying that i had done it myself. if that's what you are after, then by all means, go for it!! :)
