Hey all, as thought it turns out the o2 sensor wasn't the problem. I have had a dual filter setup happening for a while now and it seems that was the cause. I have been experimenting with 2 filters/1afm in a kind of upside down T setup if you can imagine that. Obviously the afm didn't like it, only affected the car when warming up though. So back to a single filter/afm and it runs perfectly. I'm going to try another design, possibly using an upside down Y shape if I can find the right piece. Otherwise I'll just give up :)

    Cheers,

    cool

sounds like I should have tried another pod after all but I'm not the only one with an HKS pod, hmm.. I've still got similar symptoms to yours to the degree that I have to leave my O2's disconnected, the missing and hesitation is still there without them but not too bad. Actually I stalled with my A/C on today for the first time and I think there's something in the hesitation FAQ on that so at least that's something.

Was that a stall while moving with the car in neutral and aircon on? I think a lot of hesitation problems can be traced initially to the pod filter. Way back 4 yrs ago when I first bought the Z I was having really bad idle fluctuations and stalling whilst moving in neutral and it turned out that the front of the pod filter needed to be taped up as has been discussed many times. Fixed it perfectly.
The air flow meter seems quite finicky with the way air is delivered to it. In your case I'd check the filter and then the air regulator and idle control valves.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    I think so..

or at least as I was shifting to first, I'll give it a go anyway.
