Just put one in temporarily until i get my ecu socketed..

    anyone know the specs?
Injectors size, rpm limit, speed/ boost cut removed?
Any how are they for Aus? i hear they are made for Japanese Octane and climate?

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    They have:
    - Speed limit removed
    - Rev limit increased (usually to something stupid like 10,000rpm )
    - Timing advanced hugely throughout the rev range to pretty much max out 100ron fuel that is available in Japan. (which is 2 octane higher than Aus)

That's about it. Nothing special, apart from generally making your engine more highly strung - particularly if you're running higher than stock boost levels on our 98ron Aussie fuel.

So, buyer beware of these "generic" style tunes. I recommend spending some more money and getting Nistune installed to your existing ECU, and properly tuned on a dyno, over these Jap tunes that are designed for fuel with a higher octane level than our Aussie fuel.

    Just my AUD$0.02 :zlove:

    Stock. 7550rpm. Yes / Yes
Fuel map - slightly less fuel up top. Fuel added at TP values/mid rpm.
Up to 5 degrees more advance in spots.

most run around a 11:1 afr and too much timing for aussie fuel. good for numbers but you know what they say... ping is power ;)

Yeah I've had plenty on before, not one of them didn't ping though, but that's just how they're tuned in Japan, I wish we had higher octane fuel (....'waits for E85 to come to Perth').

Boost obviously isn't controlled by the ECU side, I've had cars running 10-12psi making over 300rwhp and cars making over 400 on 18-20psi.... Just depends on the turbo setup, etc.

My advise, even though it will seem like I'm trying to sell everyone something, get a custom tune to suit the fuel you're always using and modifications you have. Dropping in a 'chip' is like doing cocaine... It's fun but you don't know what it's really doing to your insides.

    10-12psi making over 300rwhp

mines ecu's make really good power because of the large amounts of timing at the top end of load/rpm scale... some over 32deg!!! but as i said, they're just detonation the &^%# out of their motors

    Cant hear any Det.

I think ill change it out as soon as i can anyway and give it back..

as for the "cocaine", im getting it from a trusted seller.. so my insides should be good.. its a pretty stock tune anyway, just smoother, 7300 limit etc
