Well as you should all know my zed has been fully resprayed a couple of months ago..and guess what..

Today after I finished work I was walking over to my car and had a "funny gut feeling", anyway when I got to the drivers side door guess what I noticed?
Someone had left a nice 3-4cm ding about the size of a soccer ball, slightly marked the drivers door and scraped the side skirt :mad::mad:...

I was so irritated at the time I just stood there and starred at it for a good 3mins trying to calm myself down, whilst talking to myself "why the frigging hell does this shit always happen to me", "f*&king arsehole didn't leave a note, that would be f&$king right"...

Anyways I saw a guy having a beer out the front of his house, and I hummed whether I should ask him if he saw anything..and I thought "why the hell not", so I went up to him and asked "excuse me, you didn't happen to see anyone hit my car", he said "I only just got back from work, so no"...anyway he came and had a look at it with me, and I was talking to him and said "really to get a ding like that it would have to have been reversed into don't you reckon", he agreed, but the weird thing is that I was parked parallel and the only real way it could have happened is if someone did it from reversing from their driveway..he told me to ask his neighbour...

So I rang the bell and was waiting, when an old lady from across the street came out of her house and was crossing the road, she yelled out "I'm sorry, I'm the culprit", at this point I was relieved I had found the person who had done it, but at the same time was hoping and praying she had insurance..she was obviously shaken up by the event as she was shaking..I told her to take a couple of breaths, thank god she had insurance so we exchanged details..and I headed off home..

The only real thing that annoyed me, is I bet she wasn't going to come out and tell me what she had done, as I had been at the car for a good 15mins, and I reckon she just felt guilty as she saw me knocking on the doors of her neighbours trying to see if anyone had seen anything...she said she was waiting for "the owner" to return to the car and she was going to come out and let "the owner" know what had happened..so LUCKY I didn't just crack the shits and hop in the car and go straight home..LUCKY I started knocking on doors..

Called Shannons when I got home, and got the claim number, so I'm off BACK to Moro's again , to get them to repair the damage..Craig gave Moro's a call to check they are open tomorrow morning..and Grationo was like "Jesus, she wouldn't be to happy with that", and Craig was like "Yeah, she's not very impressed"...

Anyways, that's my irritating story for the day..I'll give the zed a wash and post some photos up tomorrow..hopefully, no issues with the lady's insurance company and the zed turns out looking how she did prior to the incident..

Unlucky. At least you found the culprit, and it's no money out of your pocket.

While she was having a panic attack

I would've bitch slapped her instead of saying to calm down and asked why didnt you leave a note, people like that piss me off, trying to get away with it till caught out.

Then you'd go to prison and can explain to your fellow inmates why you battered an old lady.

I had a similar incident with my Zed a year or so back at uni, ended up tracking down the culprit by the paint they left on my car. Searched the entire carpark the white car with burgandy paint on one of the corners. Left them a nice note saying I have a witness who saw the incident, and they contacted me and came clean. In the end most of the damage buffed out so I didn't pursue it, but it's quite disheartening when people won't own up to this kind of thing off their own bat.

Best of luck with the repairs :zlove:

Hopefully Moro's can have me booked in at a decent time and I don't have to drive around with the zed looking like this..although last time I was in the list was like a 2month waiting list :(

    3) Someone broke off my passengers mirror
    4) And now being reversed into

At least they all weren't high speed things, but still..I thought I would get a pin dint before something like this..:(

Went to Moro's this morning he's gonna be writing up the quote, he reckons at least $1500..

sounds like a happy ending hopefully.

Some "accidents" are exactly that. Lets face it, no one does it on purpose. The old lady may have been scared shitless she was going to get bashed for her mistake.

Good on her for coming over to you.

    Hope it all works out.

Actually thats five things, the mirrors have been broken off twice and now replaced twice...must be a jinxed Z, hopefully its used up all of it's jinxedness now

Yeah no one does it on purpose (well no decent person anyway) but I believe if Renee had not stuck around this woman never would have owned up to it...I think the guilt set in after watching through the window as Renee just stared in shock at her beautiful car now damaged and also seeing Renee door knocking and chatting to the neighbors, probably realising that someone will rat her out anyway.

To top it off her passenger door power window motor stopped working today while the window was half way down...currently trying to at least close the window but stuck at the moment as its a bitch of a job!

    Cheers!

They would have popped it out..and resprayed the whole area including the whole skirt as it had stress marks..as you can see the masking tape is still on it..gonna leave it on for another day..there's no way I was leaving it as a buff out job!

Yeah, Alex...You can imagine what I was like when I saw it..but hey..it's all good now :)..and I can enjoying driving her again..I've missed it for 3 weeks!!
