    First some background info -

Car died whilst driving along a couple of months ago replaced the battery and also replaced the alternator, at the same time I found the high pressure ps hose had split at the restrictor and most likely caused the alternator to die... this was replaced as well.

had it back on the road and everything was good until the power steering pump started screeching, removed this and had it rebuilt but whilst removing the connector (ring?) broke on the power steering pipe :/

Had a new pipe made up at hose master and fitted the rebuilt power steering pump...

It has been running well since then but this morning the alternator seemed to be overcharging (battery light flashing on and off) and a fizzing noise.

I will be testing with a multimeter tonight but I'm wondering if anyone has rebuilt there own alternator on here?

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Alternators are very simple and straightforward to rebuild. Makes me wonder why more guys dont do it tbh.
What do you need to know?

Really need to know where I can get a new voltage regulator :/

The alternator is supplying the battery with about 15-16v when the car is first started in the morning.

Its stops after about 30secs though and then is fine throughout the day.
