anyone in aus making custom fuel rails for the Zed, the 300 degree rail looks awesome but at 450US without any fuel line fittings its steep.
surely we should be able 2 get something made up locally :D
    looks at CAZ.. UAS.. AMEC..RACESPEC...PZP...

anyone willing 2 take our aussy dollars? id prefer 2 send my hard earned cash 2 a beer drinking barbe eatin aussy than the USA boys as they currently do rude things 2 my credit card bill

it maybe possible but who's gonna go to the trouble of designing it in a CAD system to determine optimal flow pattern etc like they did with that one? probably not the best pic but as an example of some stuff posted on tt.net during the design:

Why?? I've read their ad but considering 1) you can fit sard injectors and collars to the stock rail, 2)factory rail is thermally insulated and 3)you can setup the stock rail for twin in... It seems like alot of money for what actual gain??

I cant speak for those rails but good aftermarket fuel rails generally flow alot more fuel than the majority of stock rails...

stock rails are good for around the 500 mark according to tt.net....

CFD simulation doesn't take long at all and wouldn't be that hard to get useful reults from. I reckon I could do a pretty good job in 1 weekend.

    A lot of work

went into the rails these guys made though. Once made the testing went on for months to be absolutely sure they did what they claimed and without issues too. Each variant they do was tested with the various injector types available. As well as bench testing they were fitted to Z's for both road use and track use putting in many hours all in order to back up the claims they made. Bare in mind too they also combat the lack of fuel problem to No.6 cylinder which not even the very expensive border rail kit does.
I've sold around 10 sets of these now and they are really good quality :)
So all in it may sound alot of $$ to you guys, but you deffo get something that does exactly as it should and safely too. ;)

Have a word with CAZ perhaps and see if you guys can set one up, just remember there are variants depending on year and injectors being used.

    sounds good

    keep me informed

that said im debating whether I should keep my 650cc sards or upgrade to 800's... either way new fuel rail would be sweet.

considering I intend to go GT2860RS route..

Guys I was just speaking to John @ UAS regarding rails... totally out of the blue but anyway they have access to a nice alloy rail that will suit SARD injectors and comes with all fittings etc for not much over $500rrp. I've emailed this thread if you guys are serious about a group buy on rails then this could be a good way to go.

That's alot for fuel rails, would be cheaper to get custom rails made to accept any injectors you want. Any good machine shop can make them, last time I sourced some prices for rails for the VG30ET they were only $200 and were CNC machined and made out of T-6061 HQ Aluminum. I wouldn't imagine it costing much more to get them made up for the dett. Shop around...

That's the way to go. You could have two feeds and two returns and get rid of the low fuel on cylinder 6 problem. Might be interested if they are indeed that cheap.

The best thing to do is go and call a few machine shops, take in a set of stock rails and tell them what you want. Spending $500 on fuel rails that accept only one brand of injector is extremely limiting and to be honest quite silly if you ask me. It's nice that it comes in a pretty kit (like just about everything else these days) but it's not the best alternative by far.

Infact all it would take is 5 or so guys from here and a reputable machine shop and you could get a group buy going and save even more! People need to think outside of the box a bit more around here, not everything good comes in a kit lol Any monkey can install a kit, and you dont need another parts company throwing their cut on top. Go straight to the source yourself as that's all they'll do...

    Just a suggestion anyway!

On the job -also checking out fittings etc which are included in the price but still finalising the details. One will be going on my motor with big 800cc injectors and twin in/out feeds, big an fittings etc etc

    sounds good, more details :)

My ideal setup would be split setup twin in and twin out with probably AN (I think those are the ones im after) fittings.
