Is there any aftermarket in-tank fuel pumps out there that require little to no modifications to fit ? Any of the Bosch range ?

I would prefer a new genuine pump, but needing one this week I can't turn to the overseas market.

There is a $330 new genuine fuel pump advertised on eBay, which can get f#cked if I was to ever pay that.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I cant remember the brand, but its a popular aftermarket brand...if you search on ebay for 300zx fuel pumps it will give you a lot of options...if i remember correctly there is a higher flow pump you can get for around $100-150 posted or if your lucky sometimes they go for around $70 even...and since you are in a rush just ask the seller for express post.

You could try borrowing a local used one till you get a new one...good luck

mikey, i just got a bosch 040 intank man.
goes in easy, with little to no mods, was quite happy with the little effort needed to install.

cost me $200 delivered, and can flow up to 700hp. only thing needed was to wire in a 12V constant as they done like the change in volts. :)

An 040 hasnt got as much flow rate as a stock TT pump by quite a bit.

    really Graham?

so it would be better using a stock TT pump? even if running 12v constant it won't flow as much ? so utterly useless In a zed?
not sure how that works if it's rated up to 700hp

looking at specs, the TT pump flows at 325lph
and at 6.5psi, the bosch 040 flows at 168lph

although there is people running these on 360rwkw supras, will this work on the zed ?

    tood?

I'l be running max boost of 16psi and running 740cc injectors, how do you work that out?
I may just take my fuel pump back and buy a brand new stock one.

the stock tt pump is what you guys need the 040 is not that good .

i run a nismo pump in mine ..

i would be happy to run the stock tt pump in my car .

i would also not run 12 volts in to it the stock set up is good

    haha thanks.

going back, I will just buy a TT fcpu and fuel pump.
any one have any idea how to wire it so I have full speed?

To run it at full speed just by-pass your existing FPCU champ ;)

Let me know how you go...

    scratch that!

having the TT ecu, and an NA fcpu, if I just do the fcpu bypass, the pump will have 12+ volts constant yes? which is all I will need ?

what is the best pump to upgrade to? i allegedly have a pump from a gtr but that is not enough for 555c injectors

You already have the resolution Rod.

You remap the NA ecu for the TT engine and resize the K factor for the injectors.

Leave the NA FPCU in place and use its 2 speeds. No bypass. Swap the NA pump for a TT one

This is the easiest way to do a TT conversion seeing you have to remap anyway.

sell TT ecu and put money in bank.

    :confused::confused:

That's what I said... Just by-pass the n/a FPCU and run the TT pump. I'm certain that's how it's done.

    haha sorry matt,
i didnt even see your post mate! yeah 100% bypassing it.

    i get all ass up.

NA ecu was sold ages back, using the TT ecu, with a nistune pickyback so will effectively:
retune that set K values on the injectors higher

bypass the NA FPCU and use a stock TT fuel pump!
