Hi guys, I'm planning to hold an ACT tech day sometime really soon. (Hopefully weekend after this one, before pink slip comes up). I went over some of the issues in the zed with madcow aka Andrew, and we found Rear main seal leak and a few cam seal leaks. There were little things that didn't make sense such as the "light" symbol being constantly on, in the dash, and also the battery sign lighting up in the dash aswell. (Possibly alternator, as the battery was tested and was fine). This would also be a good day for me to meet the members here and get some experience from all the experts. It will also be great to work on some of the other members zed's aswell!! A top grade BBQ and drinks will definitely be provided The problem, however, may be the parking, so it'll be great to get a head check, so I know who is coming. Not really sure what is happening in that other thread. I took a look over the car last week. It appears it needs: Cam covers (exhaust only on drivers side is leaking at this point) Half moon seals (again, drivers side) Cam seal over the aircon pump (others may be leaking too?) and the rear main seal.
Yeah I'm Andrew's mate. I made the thread for him after he went to the mechanic who diagnosed all those issues.
it isn't too bad. Just remove and send top the shop. The next day and about 140$ later its back like new.
