Hi Everyone, As some of you may have read in chat i finally have a WHOLE zed... Purchased a few days ago from another forum member in brisbane. This was the last forsale thread (with photos from when it was a clean zed). http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320676 A big thank you to Michael OZX_320 for picking it up and car trailering it down to me. Plan for the car is to bring her back into decent shape as a daily driver. Only thing that may put a real screw in the works is if the engine need replacing/head gasket etc. Basic info: 1992, NA, Auto Pearl White 1+1 (2 seater) Good stuff: Full velour interior, S2 aircon, Recent TT brake conversion with slotted rotors, Shell looks good with no rust or signs of a past crash, Pod filter, good quality speakers + touchscreen navi/headunit, TT front bar, Recent top end engine rebuild HID headlights fitted Chrome instrument rings The "to do" list: -test the engine(runs well but horrid brown bubbly water in the radiator) -Completly blown AT (massively overheated due to slipping belts) -Drivers door dented/pressed in -Scratching on rear quarter and front bar -Front bar not fitted correctly/alignment -Holes in rear hatch -Rust in rear hatch -3ird brakelight strip broken -Door cards are sitting about 1cm out from the door shell, missfitted on both sides! -Peeling tinting -Lifting dash -Custom stereo surround stuffed -Rear custom audio setup (remove or clean up properly?) -no spare tyre -no tools or jack -trim on b pillar and steering surround removed -passenger door lock broken in -Velour on various corners needs gluing in -Very Very filthy inside/out (brown grubby velour, carpets etc) -Cooling system needs flushing and proper coolant -Lowered suspension to change back to stock -Fuel filler cap not fitted right -Targa handles surrounds broken and loose -fog light missing side strip -outer door pillar and a few other areas need re-painting a few more pics
update 1 Engine testing... No bubbles just dirty radiator water. slight sound from the VCT at some RPMs sometimes. quiet at idle, startup and very healthy sound at higher RPM. no smoke and good oil pressure are a definite +. oh and the cowels are beyond help. Chrispy- The pics used in the for sale advert are 1 year or so old.
You are the man with the parts. Shouldn't be too long before she is looking all pretty again. Good luck & look forward to some updates.
