Well about 2 months ago i decided to replace my faulty knock sensor, this obviously meant removal of the plenum and lower intake.
This gave me an excuse to do what i had always wanted to do since i originally got my car...BLING the engine bay a little.

Well, not quite finished yet but there is quite a few thousnad dollars spent and considerable hours..BUT its starting to look the way i always wanted.

Engine has EGR removed, Plenum and bits powder coated chrome , all piping powder coated, new injectors, full 1000K kit, external oil cooler, VCT solenoids, Koyo radiator, lots and lots of stuff....

Anyway , jumping the gun a bit as its not finished , but thought id post some pics anyway..

    Very classy mate, well done.

I forgive you! It's hard work, and lonely work at times too.
I'm glad you gave us the chance to spur you on.

What else are you planning to do in there ?

Good to see you labelled the wiring plugs

that can be a bitch trying to work out what goes where otherwise.

It is all ltoo easy to swap the AAC and # 6 injector plugs as some locals up here will attest to ... ;)

1 million km service, wow you must do some serious travelling.

    N/m that just being silly.

On a positive note, that bay looks quiet presentable. Good smooth mix of colours. Nothing screaming in your face. You zed looked already great with that unique paint job. But this just now compliments all the hard work.

Well done and be proud. I would.

    Cheap bling

Shave the fins off the radiator shroud (so it's smooth), spray putty, sand, gloss paint and clear coat.

Makes a huge difference for little cost
