Question. Can't find any 6x9 rear adapters on ebay. They gone? I'm sure I stumbled across a set one day. Where can I get a set?
do 6x9's even fit in the stock trim? pretty sure our cars came with 6x4s or 6" speakers (if it has the BOSE speaker option).

yes 6X9's can fit under teh stock trim.. with ALOT of work.. and a adaptor ? you will need more then that .. I messed around with mine for 2 months fitting different speakers.. blew about 4 sets trying too!.. in the end i went back to running 6.5" 110rms componant speakers from and rear... you will have a tough time running 6X9's under the stock trim in regards to fittin them.. let alone the muffled and distorted sound from confined area that i found .
incorrect .. they can.. just with alot of swearing, alteration etc.. modification etc.. LOL .. but in the end they sound shit because of being so confined
so what I'm reading is... no, they don't? I could fit a cow in my 2 seater if I cut out enough of the bodywork, but there's a reasonable limit andrew lol
You can get 5x7's in the rear with a bit of modification to the stock brackets, there are pictures in my progress thread if your interested
