300ZX TT MANUAL, 60yo driver and never boosted REDUCED $9990 [SOLD]

Selling the car as my dad really never needed a sports car. Have had the car for 3 years and at around 95k the timing belt snapped which bent valves. This was due to a nut missing on the tensioner pulley. Engine was rebuilt and after 100k the full 100k service was done with the timing belt done again. Car has been serviced regularly with fuchs oil every 3 months and also a year ago rear main seal was replaced. The gearbox was dropped and clutch is like new as mechanic put it. All hoses needing replacing have been replaced and the car hasn?t had any problems what so ever. Never been to the track, clutch dropped or a burnout since ownership. Always use 98 octane. Now for the actual details of the car:

*1990 white Twin Turbo 300zx j-spec
*leather (rear is literally like new, front seats are in good condition)
* targa top, climate control, electric seats
*Came with aftermarket frontbar and nose panel
*Tinted windows, rear 2k spec taillights mod.
*proper HID kit fitted due to lack of light from stock setup
*exhaust system (catback 3? to around 4.5 tip not very loud as it has hotdogs)
*unifilter air intake
*aftermarket rims 16?
*around 120,000km. Bought from japan at 89km early 2005.
*Sony head unit 500RRP fitted as car had space in the din when purchased from Japan


The paint is immaculate, I don?t know if I can find a scratch on the paint work. Only body damage what so ever is a very small shallow ding on the bonnet. Interior is again in great condition, especially the carpet. Only things that do not work is the rear wiper and the side electric mirrors, never really bothered with it.

Mature 60yo driver since import from Japan 3 years ago. Treated very well and never boosted. Take it for a test drive and view this very clean car, it will not disappoint and drives like a dream. For the buyer who wants a reliable, well treated sports car.

yes it is a regrettable sale, but its not practical for dad to use and i cant use it much later as uni has a few more years to go...

headlight was out, hence i just purchased the real HID kit as it would also help with night safety....

I see it was previously an auto. What's the clutch weight like as I can't see any evidence of the vacuum booster hoses?

 

WHAT!!!!....an auto.......what do you mean.........please explain......??????your freaking me out....

clutch weight....wouldnt have a clue, never really put it on the scales......

 

Have a look at the engine bay pic, next to the HICAS solenoid there is a large red plug there that is used exclusively for the auto transmission. This is only there if the car was fitted with an auto from factory and at one stage, would have been connected to the auto harness. Where that red plug is should also be the bleed valve for the hydraulic clutch.

The other give away is the balance pipe, on the drivers side end there should be a small spigot where the vacuum supply for the clutch master booster is supplied from and the bracket for the hoses that bolts on to the brake booster. The only two zeds that don't have this are auto's and N/A's.

Have a look at the silver plate on the radiator support panel, I bet the trans section says RE4R03A.

When I say clutch weight, does it feel heavy to push the pedal in or light?

 

ahhhh.....well i dunno how stiff the clutch is, seems very nice...not to light and not to firm.........maybe slightly firm thanks for letting me know....and all that after 3 years...

Not a bad looking car at all, but definitely has had some tinkering(aftermarket steering wheel[no padded centre], 5 strange screws/studs on centre of dash, aftermarket rear spoiler, no high level Centre Brake Light).
Still a good buy at the price IMHO.:zlove::zlove:

 

STOP!!!... It's worth every $$ of your original price!! I realise it may be difficult, but do yourself a favour and DON'T go any lower!! Just wonder what you'd need to spend to replace such a nice, clean car... with anything!!

kinda in a rush, ive got around a month off uni so i need to get rid of this for dad and get him something a little more suitable ie. something newer just to get him to and from work....but 2-3 weeks isnt too bad....i havnt put this up for sale anywhere else yet...

thanks for the comments mikemd, i am hesitant to let it go especially after seening it after a month when dad picked me up today the front styling was timeless compared to any newer car on the road.....i will definatly get one a few years down the road when im working and independant....
