    Question, how much does the VR weigh?

    With all this work, did you consider going dry sump it and lowering the motor height? It'll cost a bit, but there are pre-fab kits out there.

    hey man ,

    um i have the numbers somewhere but was a long time ago so dont really remember but its weighs a lot less about 40+kg? less , but dont hold me to it

    yes i will be dry sumping it but not any time soon , i have a bit on my plate atm , the cost of the total kit is thru the roof , so its something ill do but at a latter time , the sump is magnesium and its hard to weld , we cut of about 2? inch in total , and thats about all you want to take out of it , having said that the sump leaked a bit everytime he welded it up , so it took about 3 months to sort out , but the only thing i wanted was to get it on the road really , all these little things will take some time ,
    the bonnet looks like shit but it passed, one day i will lower the engine once the dry sump is sorted im really looking into going manual rack atm and get rid of the electric power steering i have , i also dont like my engine mounts as they are all steel and are heavy as pluck so they need to go as well , all this when i sort out the dry sump ,

    nothing matters to me as how the car goes and looks etc etc not at all , the only one thing that does matter is that it is all engineered and street legal and has full rego , the rest of it in time can be sorted

    AndyMac. What pre-fab kits are you talking about for the drysump. I only found one. You get rid of the original sump all together and thats what im looking for. I've only found one guy in the USA that has them and the blueprints. So he can make more. Since I got hold of him I haven't really looked . What others do you know off ? .

    So I went out with the guys for a drive. And I ended up coming home on a tow truck.
    It seem I put a hole in the oil cooler line. Was a good day eitger way.

    Hi boll. Yeah thats mate.
    Well that's a little hard to explain. But had the engine in close the bonnet on the engine. Cut 2 line down the bonnet where it needed cutting then one across . My cross cut is at the front of the bonnet.
    Put the "flap" where I needed it and Lockett it in sent it away to get welded up. So cut like a ( U ) its not perfect . But it will be when the pros get it I guess

    Not all the safty parts are adjusted as yet.
    Like water and engine temp fuel temp gearbox temp.
    But ill get on it

    Oil pressure is tho. Engine will not run at all of oil pressure is low. Altho it still need fine tuning as does everything eals. We are running 7 psi of boost ( stock is 13) and no timing and also a little rich. Just untill it gets all sorted.

    yeah thats maybe something to consider , what engine have you got in it ?,

    the ford bonnet humps are nice , as well , i like them , mine is not finished it looks this way just to pass engineering roady ect ect , now that all that has finished il start on the body , i need to get a dry sum set up for it, but they cost mega $$$ so ill hold of for now ,

    ok guys well step 2 will be taking place in the next 2 months or so , ( i hope )

    like i said the car was built like this in order to pass all the crap , now that it has and all thats finished with step 2 will be on the cards ,

    step2

    the second part of this build will be
    setting up my fuel system ( including e85 ) i have a killer fuel system here that im hanging to get on the car , at this stage i will go with 1700cc injectors ( side note, i dont know if im going to go 12 x 1000cc injectors or 6x 1700c injectors ) also putting the titanium exhaust system on the car then the car will need some small amount of wiring done , this is fuel temp needs to be wired in, clutch switch and front ABS for antilag and launch control etc etc ,

    at the moment the flat shit shift cut and down shift on the gearbox have not been set up , this also need tuning

    i have an gtr r32 diff coming for japland and should be here in 6 to 8 weeks?
    i will be attacking the complete ass end on the on the bench, so i can see everything 100% if i find it needs an expert in the field i have spoken to mc donald bros and they will take care of what i cant , the diff needs to be 10mm shorter on each end , they will have a better idea on how to do things then what i will , so see how we go with that ,

    once all this has been done ( NOT ASS END ) i will take the car to trent and have him tune it all up inc gearbox , at the moment the is at 430rwhp 7 psi stock is 13 psi out of the box , this was the least power we got out of it and is safe ,
    on the engine id like to set boost at 17 or 18 psi , this is good for the engine , i dont want any more for now , this will work well for it we should see somewhere in the 700+ rwhp no problem, the plan is to keep the engine safe for the next big build on the engine so i may even pull it down to 600hp it really doesnt matter so long as the engine is 100% safe , thats all that really matters.

    700hp will help me set up the back end as well, as best we can for traction i dont think i will make it into the 13 inch in the back but 12vs will be no problem but i will push for 13ns with zero camber. the hole key to this is setting the car up , for the big day the, the car MUST perform with minimal to no loss of traction , 10% slip is good no more if i do want to mess around just put normal tires on there and go for gold , witch is unlikely , id love to see 335 or 345 MT,s on the back of it,

    as i go along with this build things may change in in order to get what i want at the end of the day i may not need 13ns on the back 12vs may be great with 325? et,s, we just dont know 100% what will happen , under full noise and with a built engine this will be for the circuit/ street , for the drags ill just get bigish drag slicks and go for it .

    the car is built for me , its not a drag car its not a circuit car , im building it the be good at everything but perfect at nothing, a fun car , the car will allways be a street car will all ways be registered , and i can enjoy it on the track and street.

    im not building it for a specific time at the drags/circuit or event etc etc
    i want it to do good at everything.

    Close to 800rwkw E85

    6 x1300cc @ 45 -50 psi fuel pressure will get close to 600rwkw with E85

    Still useing the VG30 but single intake which sits pretty high, I have a spare bonnet, might have to have a bit of a play around

    Yeah man give it a go. If you mess up tou can allways get another bonnet.
    My bonnet is like looking at a train wreck . But it passed thats all I needed
