Was just looking at these on your website a few days ago, how hard is it for an amateur to install the complete set of genuine leather for a 2+2?

I would be interested in purchase sometime around the end of August, would you do a special price for Front + Rear + Full trim kit in genuine leather and how much would I be looking at including postage for the set listed below?

Would be looking at getting Black + Red leather seat covers with red stitching, 300ZX logo embroidery in black on back seats, custom embroidery on front seats, Red leather trim kit with black stitching on center console.

    Cheers

Is the double DIN suitable for RHD?

I see there are pictures of it fitted on both a LHD and RHD

It has been brought up numerous times before that they are not interchangeable.

Hi Syntax_X, the bezels aren't interchangeable, that is why we spent additional $9K just on the RHD mold.....

We have RHD versions available in plain, cf hydrographic and real cf finish.

Let us know if you have any further queries...

    Thanks.

I have installed a complete interior including seats using Khalid's kit, and I must say that both the quality and customer service is great.

I ran a Group Buy a few years ago and I think there were about 18 or 20 kits sold all around Australia. I even had a NZ Member pick up a full set when he was here on Holidays.

Don't be fooled by the photo's though - there is a lot of work required to get it right. I will also recommend leather over "leatherette" or vinyl as the leather stretches without feeling like it is about to break.

It took me about 8 hours to do my first seat, and then about 6 to do the 2nd. Another member posted a full description how to do the seats, however that is probably long gone by now.

Yeah I would be interested at $1000, but it will need to wait until end of August.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get something like this professionally installed?

    Cheers

I installed a full kit for a 2+2 after going to a professional for a quote.

He lost allot of interest and seemed really angry at doing it when i told him i already had all the materials for it(must make most money off own materials).
    He quoted me 1000 plus.

Honestly with a little patience and a hair dryer its quite a simple job.

    Quick ref:

Use slim durable zip ties for the installation.
Use an aerosol can of quick grip for the trim kit
And use a staple gun on the headrest.

    Simple.

For the interior panels, what is easier to install, genuine leather or leatherette/pvc?

Folks, extremely sorry for a mistake!

The cost of synthetic leather trim kit including shipping is $130 and not $100..........

$130 doesn't apply to "gmbrezzo" though!

    Thanks a lot!

Lol. Thanks Khalid, but I'll stay with the 130 price.
I know I say I'm open to bribery and corruption, but I have to keep it above board. :D
I'll get back to you on the extra material I need when I get back home and measure up.

It is the case for sure, I asked a installer also (worked for himself) he said if I can get them at that price I'd save myself thousands as most of the markup and money is in the leather itself.

Wondering if we could get another group buy going to get extra savings and shipping savings.

I found that when you get to the point of installing the trims, because of the pulling and stretching you have to do, the vinyl just doesn't cut it (no pun intended).

Basically what happens is that the fabric covering on the back of the vinyl stretches to a point, and then splits suddenly, giving the vinyl an exaggerated stretched look.

Because of this, I will not be doing vinyl again - it's not that much more for the leather anyway.

And regarding the amount of stretching you have to do, when I went to do the seats, at first I thought there was no way they were the right size, but then I pulled and stretched and pulled and stretched a bit more and it worked. I think it was about 30 cm's (vertically) I had to stretch the seat covers.
