For Sale: 300zx Twin Turbo manual 2+2 Black (metallic) with leather interior. $17000ono.

Features elec. windows, elec. seat (driver's side), elec. mirrors, leather interior, targa top, cruise control.

The car was bought from a private importer locally, and compliance was done by Isaso in Meadowbrook, almost all subsequent maintenance/upgrades done by AMEC Auto Care in Coorparoo with the exception of plenum bypass done by Mark Field (Zed4Life).

I bought this car in May/June last year (2005) with 113XXXkms on the clock. The car now has 118XXXkms on the clock and is registered until July this year, the car came with twin Apexi BOVs and cat-back exhaust and 10 stacker CD player, since buying the car the following has been done (all these additions have done less than 6000km!):

    1. 100,000km service done.
    2. Under plenum bypass done.
    3. Complete Zedcare program.

    4. TWD fitted.
    5. Apexi power intake fitted.
    6. Tuned ECU fitted.
    7. 1.0mm boost jets installed.
    8. New RPS Street Spec clutch (additional 30% clamp load).

    9. Bling S/S engine bay bolt kit installed.
    10. Illuminated (blue) door sills - very schmick!!
    11. New 17 inch wheels and tyres (nice bit of dish).
    12. Aftermarket bright headlight and dash lights installed.
    13. 350Z aluminium racing pedals.
    14. Gauge rings ready to go in.
    15. Nismo clear side indicators.
    16. Complete alarm system with pager, remote start and turbo timer!

    17. New (second hand) CAS fitted.
    18. PTU relocated.
    19. Alternator replaced.
    20. New heater hoses.
    21. All new crankcase breather hoses.
    22. All boost/vac hose replaced with blue silicone hose, PVRV system removed.
    23. 10 new wiring connectors (quick release type) to fuel injectors, CTS, AAC, FIDC and Air Reg.
    24. Removed wastegate solenoid brackets so easier to work around.
    25. New pre/post-turbo piping.
    26. Replaced battery.
    27. All new fuel line.
    28. New throttle body, IACV and plenum gaskets.
    29. New rocker cover gaskets.
    30. PCV valves and hoses replaced.
    31. Idle air hoses replaced.
    32. Plenum and rocker covers painted.
    33. JWT heavy duty VTC springs installed.
    34. Injectors ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested, new O-rings & insulators fitted.
    35. New slotted front rotors and Bendix Ultimates brake pads all round.
    36. New NGK Iridium spark plugs.

During plenum pull all electrical connections were checked, cleaned and re-tensioned. EGR was blocked off, and IACV was removed, pulled apart, cleaned and reinstalled. Heaps of other little things fixed, tightened and replaced.

    Personalised number plates not included.

Car has always been well maintained and treated with respect, with attention to detail a priority. The time/effort/money I have put into this car has always been concerned with maintenance before performance upgrades, as a result the new owner will be buying, with peace of mind, a reliable car with the big jobs (plenum bypass and 100,000km service) done. I am selling because I am starting university soon and will only be able to work part time, and therefore I will need a smaller cheaper car.

    Your 300ZX

    Hi,
    Your 300ZX looks pretty good.
I am a new member here so have not done as much reading as I might, so forgive me if I ask daft questions. I owned a 300 briefly last year but... well it's a long story. Can you send me a couple more pictures please? naturallykit@hotmail.com

A dealer here was trying to convince me that the manual TT overheats and that I would be better off with an auto. Any thoughts?

I live in NSW nr Sydney but if you have the car that I want, that is not a problem at this end.

    Thanks,
    Gripp

Manual TTs overheat, but not Autos?

    Well that's a new one :LOL::LOL::LOL:

Ask around on the forum about that particular salesman's opinion, and while you are at it, ask to see what people think about salesmen and 300s in general.

Seriously though mate, I have heard so many cock & bull stories from salesmen when talking about 300zx's and I think that salesman like to think they know everything, so when they don't know everything they just make it up.

I don't have that many pictures but here are some good ones:

    Re: Your 300ZX

    What'll they think of next.

Any car can overheat if not maintained properly.
The cramped engine bay of a Z32 is just an additional issue with heat retention.

No difference really between auto and manual, except to say that with an auto, you also have hot transmission fluild running through the passenger side radiator tank, so really, the auto has more heat load on the coolant than a manual.

So next time you see that sales man tell him from me he is a wanker.

Scott you love that car!!! I am sorry to hear you are selling.

What ever is the case, if you do sell, good luck with it all, and I hope to see you as PSA on some cruiZes and events. If you still have the car on tech day, let's put thiose gauge ring in there eh? :)

    Thanks guys for the support

I do love this car, and it will damn near kill me to see it go, I have put my heart and soul, blood sweat and tears into this car (it's ok I got the stains out ). But I know that when I hand it over I am handing over a car that offers a very good package with mild mods and with the hard work already done. But Uni does have to be done and I have already put it off for too long, I got accepted into Mechanical Engineering next year at UQ so in a few years I'll come back and design a turbo that'll make the Disco Potato look like a ceiling fan!!

Just wanted to add that the car also has a Chili Master Brake Cyclinder Brace fitted!

I will get a pic of the engine bay up ASAP!

That's EXACTLY what I'm after but I'm still a few grand short. Hold off a couple of months and you'll have a very keen buyer :p

    Beautiful car!

    Just what I'm looking for.

I have a 1984 AE 300ZX that I need to sell first. Let me do that and I'll be in contact. Just let me know if you sell it first. :D

    Cheers

    Scotty you're crazy

You know you'll regret it. Imagine how you're gonna feel in six months time when you just HAVE to have a Zed again and you'll end up buying a $13K POS and then spend $15K over the next two years trying to re-create 257HFP.

Call off the sale, before it's too late.

Either that or bump up the price.

    Nooooooo!

Do what I did, buy a cheap, small fuel efficient run around car. I could never imagine parting with the zed for a much lesser car.

However if it has to go it has to go :(

    Hey guys

I don't like it anymore than you guys, and at this stage the zed is staying, it may or may not have to go eventually. If I don't get what I want for it then I am happy to keep it (happier than I would be to let it go), I think if it doesn't sell within a few weeks I will call it off.

I am not gone yet fellas!!:thumbsup:
