No idea, never had to do it. I remember Cra-Z-boy saying not to bother paying the extra $100 for the pre-wired as it was a simple mod (he bought a set for his orange slicktop & his blue convertible). All I can show/tell you is that the Xenon headlight has a single plug at the front of the headlight. Perhaps Lil' Baz, or East Coast Z can shed some light?
This picture is from the CZP website of the pre-wired heallight. Looks like they have just extended the wire and moved it to the back.
That's correct the wiring kit isn't required. The connector plug on the new lights will have to be cut off anyway, as the wiring to the lights will require modification so that the low beam will remain illuminated when high beam is activated. The so called 'pex mod' at the relay box doesn't work with these lights! The plugs on the vehicle wiring harness don't need to be cut or modified, so you can always reinstall the standard lights at a later stage without any dramas.
