Thanks mate! I sure will. Here are some pics taken by the inspector and the previous owner. Will post some better ones once she gets here and I've given her a good wash.............. she's gonna need it after 13 days on the road!

The guy we bought her off hit the front bar going up a driveway with electric gates. Bar isn't cracked but the paint is so it will need to be taken right back and resprayed. Has a newer stereo in it but the guy has sent me the original radio and CD player. And he put the cover back on the speaker you can see is missing on the last pic.

Needs a few things fixed: glove box doesn't close, aerial is stuck and won't come down, the speedo isn't working and the handbrake needs adjusting.

And no, we didn't pay $15,000 for it :D

The aerial is no biggie, most likely needs a new motor. It'll enjoy the long run. Speedo once again not a real issue, depends on whats wrong with it if it is the little pin in the needle, you'll need a whole new piece not real cheap but not too expensive plus plenty of good working ones around too butcher for parts , glove box may just need adjustment or a 2nd hand one plenty around.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, we should be able to be fix them without too much trouble or expense, which is great since the handbrake, speedo and glovebox will need to be fixed for us to be able to get the blue slip. We have two weeks to get her sorted and registered.

I have been doing a bit of research on the net, mostly in the Tech section here on the forum........heaps of great information available. I'm sure I'll be on here asking for some sort of help once we get the car!

BTW, I'm pretty sure you're the guy my husband spoke to on the phone a few weeks ago - we got your number from my brother Tony who you know through work. Or am I mistaken?

Are you freighting the car over or driving?
If your coming through Adelaide there is a zed wrecker over there that has heaps of parts.

Is that a Jag and Lotus in the background?
The exhaust pipes look a bit short for the rear bar, to me.
You might need some push on extensions.

some owners are interested in restoring their cars to complete stock and might be interested in buying that.

Both of these issues are $0 fixes.
I think one of the Mods had a thread about the glove box. It could be a little clip that is slightly broken and doesn't stay in position, but it can be fixed with a bit of wire or cable tie or paperclip etc.

There is a tech article about enabling the integrated glass antenna so you won't need a working up/down antenna anyway. Plug it.
One of the Mikes wrote it.
If I find the link I will post it.

but there is an even easier way to enable it. [IMG]The two pin male plug that inserts in the female one behind it (shown in the picture), just needs a piece of fuse wire wrapped around both those pins (effectively shorts it) and then plug the male and female together to hold everything in place.

Freighting.... using CEVA and I'm starting to regret it. Since the seller dropped the car off on NYE, the car has travelled 20km, and she isn't due to leave Perth until Friday
