    Hi Guys

I know you are all just piddling your pants in excitement about Zedfest, so i thought i'd post up the agenda so you know what our current plans are.

Most of this has been booked in with venues and suppliers, etc, but is still up for discussion. So, if there is anything you would like to suggest, please PM me rather than post up in this thread.

    So, here goes.

Day One - Friday 2nd April

    Arrival meet & greet

Dinner BBQ on site at Pembroke Caravan Park

There is a lovely big BBQ area which will be resevered for our use. There is about 4 large tables, but also a nice big grassed area, so you can bring chairs/picnic rugs too. All food has already been ordered and will be delivered to the park. Cost per person will be around $6, but will be confirmed closer to the date when we have more firm numbers.

    Day Two Saturday 3rd April

CruiZe ready to leave by 10am

Armidale - Ebor Falls - Dorrigo (via Grafton Rd) - Ebor - Armidale

Approx 261km. 4-5 hours including stops and lunch.

First Stop (45 mins) - Ebor Falls. Quick stop to re-group, check out the waterfall if you like

LUNCH - Tallawalla Tea House. Drive straight through the town of Dorrigo to our lunch stop. Beautiful views, lovely little tea house. Sandwiches and light meals available.

Photo Op - Mountain Top Road lookout. the lovely residents next door have given us permission to use their front lawn for our photoshoot as we won't all fit in at the lookout.

Head back home, via North Dorrigo - some good twisties and very pretty scenery the whole way! should be home by 3pm.

Dinner - Yim Thai Restaurant, Marsh St Armidale. Banquet meals available, or order al a carte. BYO. Across the road is the Wicklow Pub, for after dinner drinkies for those who are keen.

    Day Three Sunday 4th April

    7am - GOLPING

10Aam - Show N Shine Pembroke Caravan Park

This caravan park actually holds a number of "show n shines" for other car clubs, so it should be a great location. The grassed area is visible from the road, and we will do flyers around town so that the public come out and visit. Forum moderators will judge cars, and all members/guests/PSA's/random public can vote for the 'people's choice award'

Karl will post up a full list of trophies/awards later on

4pm Optional Afternoon Cruise Uralla. Round trip 86km with a stop at a cute pub with a cosy fire place.

7pm PRESENTATION DINNER - Armidale City Bowling Club

Dinner is $20 a head which includes your main meal, bread rolls, tea/coffee (cost also includes room hire and AV/PA equipment hire) - to be paid to Karl or i before Sunday night.
    meal options are
Eye Fillet of beef sauced with wild mushroom cream set on a potato and vegetable frittata
Chicken Breast Supreme filled with bacon, macadamia nuts and fresh herbs, set on creamy mash potato and vegetable fritter sauced with cream.
awards/trophies will be presented by our awesome MC for the night, the honourable BlackBaz :zlove:

    Day Four Monday 5thApril

    AndyMac Better than you

It's a good piece of road...although from Dorrigo through to Galston gets seriously twisty, and some seriously good tarmac, so I guess if anyones uber keen they could continue on for another 100km's down the mountains...

    ...just a thought.

I'll be there with bells on, it should be good to catch up with the people I have already met, and those who I haven't too :)

As for accommodation, I'm couch surfing with a member of both here and Newcastle zeds (Luke, Zeder1984) who lives in Armidale, so hopefully the caravan park will have no dramas with a few gatecrashers for a night or two of shenanigans? :D Any dramas, I'll just say i'm in villa #3 or something

Luke was also suggesting a small house party at his property just out of town. I'll leave details and such with him for now. I'll try to coerce him to post here, as its been a while between visits for him here.

    ^^ Seconded Chrispy ^^
I'd say our Zedfest bashes are a little larger than a "small house party". lol.
I don't think we've had one yet without being asked/told to "settle down" at some point!
...maybe this is why we alternate towns every time - cause they may not have us back a second time. :D:D:D

    Ahh, good times! [TIS]

Is this official? If so, I vote that this get's stickied! :D

    Awesome work HaylZ.

No room for skid pan as an option? I'll have to ask how Al's going with that.

Last I heard we couldnt do it cause the place was already booked out (I think that was the reason:confused:)

He was going to look into it again see if anything had changed.

There's going to be a lot of dirty cars at the show and shine if it's happening after the big cruise... either that or a big fight for the hose and sponges in between :p

Kieren, the cruiZe is on the Saturday and show'n'shine is on Sunday 10am.

Traditionally, people all get up nice and early on Sunday morning, fill their buckets and wash the cars up all shiney then take it straight to the show and shine.

I know, that was my point.

It's never really been a issue before. There are normally a few car wash places around as well.

Luke was saying there was a training centre for the fire brigade that has a skid pan? Is this the location that was booked out?
