I might be interested... but it would have to be a pretty good deal considering I'm in Queensland. I've found that this dry spell has been a pretty good bargaining tool when looking for zed's with the way the economy is, and with end of financial year sales coming up soon things can only get better for people like me looking to buy a zed :) But seriously there isn't much of a demand for zed's at the moment and it is showing. Looking on Carsales etc. there are zed's on there that were on there 8-10 months ago. Just no demand for em unfortunately.

Im getting to the stage, thinking no one wants a really good zed, and maybe I should just keep it!
Had a father and son drove for 4 hours to look at it last weekend and said YES, but no deposit! and 4 days later still no committment in dollars.
I had a similar experience about a month ago, a young guy said he was going to give me the deposit that afternoon, and failed to come back!
Everyone who does look at it are quite impressed!
Had another guy today, who is trying to sell his zed for $4 grand (but its a heap), said my car was in mint condition, and if he'd the money would buy it!
Yet another chap looked at it today, and exclaimed on how clean and new it looked!
Even the Father of the son who looked at it on the weekend, asked me why hav'nt I already sold it, he said its the best zed he'd looked at, and was surprised it hadnt been snapped up. He said it actually had the "WOW" factor!
Really I dont mind keeping it, being a flawless car, I've had nothing ever go wrong with it, and its a fun car to drive, not costing much in fuel either!
    HO HUMMMMM.

Thanks for the sentiments guys and gals.

I got a message saying the young fellow who wanted it on last Sunday, cant get a deposit together, so its still for sale.

Im really thinking I might keep it, as it will be hard to replace the same car for such a low price.

Low kilometre zeds in mint condition are hard to find now days, and when I keep getting comments that it truly is "immaculate", then perhaps I should just enjoy it.

But for now, its going back into the shed and I will start driving my brand new "BUTE UTE" (Nissan Navara D40 Dual Cab 4 litre V6 the same motor as the 350Z but bigger in capacity Wow it goes!), which I've had for over a month now and its barely got 300 kilometres on the clock.

So will keep in touch here

    Thanks all
    Stu

Ive taken a deposit, but the young fellow cant raise the rest of the money for quite some time!!! (months). Might have to refund it . . . Damn!!!

You don't refund a deposit, that's the point of it..you never know you might still be able to sell the Z to this guy..if no one else wants it

Do you think it is worth waiting perhaps up to 6 months for my money though?

At least I will still get to drive it around for a while.

    Thanks Renee

Yeah I reckon, well just see if they end up getting it, but if someone else wants it..just let the deposit guy know you have another interested buyer and if they cant pay for it in time refund their deposit and go with the new guy...

ok i was in a similar situation. i just purchased a TT Z 92 model 2+0 black :D.. however at the time i did not have the cash available at all.. i tried to sell my silver Z but it was not moving easily. I had paid the guy 1000 for a deposit which was back in March. However since i could not pick it up until beginning july, I paid him another 1000 at end of april to show him that yes the money would be coming. Then i hit him with the lump sum a few days ago and now only have about 3000 to give him when i pick the car up beginning july. i had him waiting 4 months. Least as u said u can drive it in the mean time ;)

    now i have 2 Z's haha yay.

    Hey Stu,
Congrats...was it to a Bendigo owner?

    Thank Renee,

No, it went to Melbourne - actually Mill Park.
A fellow 25 years of age bought it. He has owned a 350Z previously, and liked the 300ZX more for its shape etc. So he sold the 350Z, bought a block of land, and used the change to get into a 300ZX.
He fell in love with it straight away. Was very impressed with its conditon and everything else.
I had the roadworthy done last Wednesday and it passes straight away, even the guy who did the inspection said how clean and original the whole car was.

I will keep my nose in on this forum from time to time, as I am working on a couple of other things that are zed related.

Looks like I will be driving my Eureka more often now. I showed the Eureka to the guy who bought my car, as he had never seen one before, that really took his breath away!

    Anyway thanks again everyone.
