Comments: Below is the list of parts installed along with all the relevant information on this gorgeous car. Plenty of photos follow afterwards. A host of other parts are included with the purchase of the car and will not be sold separately.

The car that I have up for sale is a March 1997 build Z32 "slicktop" 2 seater NA Nissan 300zx 5 speed Manual in Red. Not only is this one the rare hard top manual transmission but it weighs 1490kg and is more rigid due to the fixed roof. (I believe Nissan made less than 3000 slicktop versions of the 300zx).
You may have also noticed that most of the ones for sale on carsales are 1989/90/91 models. This is a genuine 1997 vehicle that has an updated interior that is all black (looks much less dated than compared to the grey tweed of earlier versions) and also has an airbag. 1997 models are extremely rare to come by.

I am the first owner to register this car in Australia and it came to this country in 2006 and was bought from a dealer. The car currently has just over 81,500km on the odometer which are genuine. The car was fully inspected prior to purchase by state-roads (I still have a copy of the report for the potential owner) and the car is in impeccable condition.

    **Interior**
There are no wear marks at all in the interior trim. As mentioned above, this 300 came from factory with the updated black tweed trim. It looks completely different to the light grey of earlier models and completely transforms the interior. Nissan did a fantastic job on designing this cockpit and the black colour scheme complements this. There are zero signs of wear on the bolsters of the seats, which we all know is extremely common, and the embossed ?300zx? on the seats are still in their original white colour (all of the late model zeds I have seen have discoloured logos). Throwover covers have been used at all times. The handbrake lever, and more importantly the steering wheel have no damage to them whatsoever and are still shiny and soft. I even have the flare intact below the passenger foot well.
Only 2 major items have been added to the interior of my car:
-Clarion DVD TOUCHSCREEN Double din head unit
-GREDDY INFORMETER ECU diagnostics display unit
I recently (<10months) got a custom fibreglass job done to install a double din touch screen DVD player in the car. This was done by ?Super Audio Installations? and all up cost me approx. $1500.00
(The front speakers have been replaced with Kenwood Coaxials and the rears have been removed).
I have also recently installed a GREDDY Informeter that will display over 60 parameters directly from the ecu. It works in the same manner as the CONZULT unit that was sold in a recent group buy, however the Greddy unit is touch screen, all in colour and is made in Japan.

    **Engine**
As expected, the crucial 100,000 km service has also been completed (at 72,000km) at a cost of over $1250.00 where the following parts were replaced:
    -timing belt
    -waterpump
    -thermostat
    -coolant bypass hoses
    -drive belts
    -fanbelts
    -auto tensioner
    -variable valve control springs
    -variable timing control o rings
-crankshaft oil seal and front sprocket spacer
    -crank sprocket
    -idler pulleys
These parts were purchased from TTZ when he was still operating and the receipt is available. The service was completed by Ikes Motors in Canberra and the only reason I chose them for this job was because they were a mature group of mechanic?s in their 40?s/50?s who had previously carried out the same service on a few other zeds.
This car also came with a 3 year warranty of which 10 months is still remaining. The car has been serviced every 6 months (I have all records) due to the conditions of my 3 year warranty.
The car is driven at most once a week and when service time comes I only use Royal Purple. Because the car is rarely used, the oil is still clean when it is drained and is approx. 2500km between service intervals. I only use genuine Nissan filters and washers.
Also installed is a JWT Pod filter and a Titek magnetic sump plug (in matching red of course) that were bought from Concept Z Performance.
In short, the engine is spotless. It performs flawlessly and during my 2 and a bit years of ownership I have only put on a stress free 10,000km. It is one of the cleanest engine bays you will ever see in a 300zx full stop.

    **Drivetrain/ Brakes**
As mentioned above, the vehicle was also purchased with a AWN Australia Wide Vehicle Warranty (Deluxe package: 3 years) at a purchase value of $1,000. As all the enthusiasts would know, tail shafts will fail on these cars at about the 80k mark. Under the warranty, the guys at Southern Differentials organized a new tail-shaft for me. The original 2 piece was replaced with a lightweight one piece tail shaft that was paid for (over $1300) by the warranty company. The gearbox oil and differential oil were also replaced with Redline fluids.
Apart from the tail shaft, there has never been a need to claim on this Gold Warranty. This warranty was purchased for my peace of mind and is transferable to the new owner of this vehicle for the same reasons.
The brakes are also in fantastic condition. The rotors are still super smooth as they have all been machined and are finished off in bright gold. The pads have been replaced with Bendix GCT, which are great for the street. The car also has braided brake and clutch lines.

    **Suspension**
During the last year, I have spent lots of attention, time and money on the suspension components of this car. The following parts were installed:

-Tein MONO-FLEX (the top of the range street coilovers from Tein)
    -D project rear traction rods
    -D project rear tension rods
-Powertrix rear camber arms (polished in chrome)
    -Stillen sway bars front/rear
    -Stillen Urethane bushes
-Stillen rose jointed end links front and rear
    -Stillen front adjustable camber arms
    -Tein pillow-ball tension rods

All the suspension parts were purchased from www.conceptzperformance.com in America except for the rear traction and toe rods which were purchased from Inline Suspension.
All the suspension components were installed and tuned by Chris Elridge himself, the owner of Inline Suspension in Queanbeyan. I am sure that there are plenty of Canberra zed owners that can vouch for this mans expertise. The car is not running a crazy camber setup, is still at stock height. Chris also sold me his old wheels from his 350z Track and I have just had them wrapped in top of the range Falken FK452 tyres that have done less than 5000kms. All suspension components have done less than 6000kms.
This car handles like its on rails. The money that has been spent on the suspension would probably be worth more than your average 300zx.

    **Exhaust**
-Billy Boat 2.5 inch quad 4.5 inch tips
This catback exhaust system was shipped from the USA and cost me nearly $2000 all up due to the terrible exchange rates at the time. According to Coz there are only two of these in Australia and it makes the car sound absolutely amazing. If you think Magnaflows sound good, you haven?t heard these.
This is my most favourite item on the car and there is no other car that sounds as good as this. Most Japanese car owners will generally choose Japanese or custom make their own exhausts, but this Billy Boat exhaust is in a league of its own.

    **Exterior**
I also paid for a full cut/polish/paint protection from Detail FX (these guys look after the top show cars from Summernats), which cost me $600.00 about 12 months ago. I have tried to capture the quality of the paint of the car with the photo?s that are attached.
I clean the car every time it is taken out of the garage. It is kept under a cover in the garage when not in use under lock and key. I never drive the car in the wet and if you look underneath the car, everything looks clean and shiny as per the photo of the suspension attached.

    **Other/Extras**
    -New AC Delco Battery
-Steelmate 2 way PAGER alarm (x2 controls)
    -GENUINE Nismo Oil cap
    -GENUINE Nismo radiator cap
-Kaixen HID xenon lights (these are the high end xenons that are made in Korea and I have attached them to a relay kit and have a set of 8500k globes and a set of 6500k globes- $500.00 total)
    -Stainless steel CZP fuse/relay cover
-Spare uncut master key, one Black master key, one Red, and separate key for door locks as they were replaced in Japan
-Also included with the purchase of the car are all the brochures, toys and magazines that the genuine enthusiast in myself has collected over the years. (Definitely worth a few hundred dollars)
-To finish off, I also purchased custom number plates "0Z320" to compliment my Z32 300zx (in red of course). No yearly fee and can be transferred to the new owner.
-Stock exhaust, unmarked original rims wrapped in Bridgestone Grid 2 tyres, stock airbox and suspension components included.

    In Conclusion?
I spent 3 years looking for this car. We have all experienced sellers telling us that their car is absolutely immaculate, only to find out on arrival that the car being sold is in similar condition to a public toilet. I am the fussiest car owner in Australia and this zed is guaranteed to impress. If you were like me and you are wondering why there are no good Z32?s for sale, this is the car for you.

It is NEVER parked in shopping centre car parks and is NEVER left alone for more than 15 minutes. I don?t carry passengers and I don?t drive it at night. The car is loacated in Canberra, also known as roundabout capital, and has some of the smoothest roads in Australia, meaning an easier life on our cars.

I literally live across the road from OZ300 (ie. Peter- a senior Aus300zx member) who has also seen, inspected and admired this car. Should the need arise, I am sure one of the senior aus300zx members from Canberra can pre inspect this car for your assurance.

At the moment, there is currently only ONE 1997 model 300zx in Australia for sale at a dealer and it is a higher kilometre 4 seater Targa roof version and is priced at $17.5k. My car has more than $10,000 worth of extras, not to mention the rare combination of manual, hardtop and 2-seater configuration.
Anyone who knows cars can see that I have spent a lot of money on this car that is in stunning condition.

I have priced this car at a heartbreaking $18,000.

To find a car of this quality and combination will be a mammoth task and to build a car similar to this quality will cost you much more than what I am asking.
I have been hesitant for the last 12 months about selling this car, but the time has come for a change and a new direction in life. I have been trawling the classifieds and Carsales every single day for the last 12 months (no this is not a joke) and I know first hand that this is one of the best available.
I have attached a large amount of high quality photos and I hope you enjoy the pictures I have taken (and yes, the car always looks as clean as the car you see in the photos). I have used an SLR camera to take some of the pictures for you to see the finer details and judge the condition for yourself.
I?m a really nice guy so if your really serious about this car, please don?t hesitate to send me an email and we can go from there.

    Note:
To the arrogant members who are looking at this thread who are itching to post comments such as ?you?re car is only worth $10k? and ?an NA?s not worth that sort of money?, please don't post in my thread.... you won't be impressing anybody....

Test drives are not permitted until a deposit is made. I am not willing to add mileage to my car for dreamers and curious minds.
In final, the car is genuinely IMMACULATE and ready to enjoy. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is one of Australia?s best 300zx.

Sorry for the super sized post :zlove:

    Cheers,
    Steve

R31 Gagz Harden the F#%K up!!

Absolutely superb example of a 300ZX! You really have taken great care of her and added some tasteful mods that really compliment the car.

Nice photography skills as well ;)

Good look selling her, my pride and joy is also up for sale at the moment and its not easy since I don't want to sell her. I think your price is quite reasonable for the calibre of car you are selling, it could go for more I reckon.

    Cheers!

My recent sale proves you can still get a decent price for a well maintained Z. Patience for the right buyer is the key.

    Good luck with the sale.

I can vouch for this car in person. It is a rare example of a meticulously maintained, unmodified Zed.

I checked it out a few months ago when he first considered selling it. It is in showroom condition!

Steve has paid great attention to detail in all areas. There are no wear marks in any of the upholstery nor any scratches or marks in any of the hatch trim. There is no lifting around the dash vents. There are no swirls in the paint.

The photos do the car justice.

It will make someone very happy.

    Cheers,

    Peter

Thank you all for the kind words.

I have had some interest over the last 10 days but I will be listing on Carsales on the 4th January.

If you are a serious buyer and have been looking for a vehicle of this calibre, don't delay as cars like this one will very rarely come up for sale.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Christmas, and I will be returning from Brisbane on 31st Dec to accommodate any serious enquiries.

    Cheers,
    Steve
