Just had the dings removed from the tops of my mudguards where i have been less than careful over the years of under bonnet work. Each guard had about four dents in each that have been annoying me each time i looked at them, also a hail damage in the hatch that i wanted removed. Found this paint free dent repairs advert in Zoom magazine and gave threm a call. http://www.dentsdings.com.au/ Daniel Brescia, came, saw, and conquered in no time at all, All done in comfort of my driveway and at an excellent price, Can recommend Daniel highly for any Sydney Zed owner that needs those annoying dents removed. Zed is now back to it's showroom best.:thumbup::thumbup:
They are the before Shots Chad, see the reflection of the striped lines in the guard, shows where the dings are. Smooth as a babys bum now.
ahhhhhhhh right on the upper area of the guarddd. yes yes i can see them i just quickly looked at the guard overall. i like that strip panel they use to see the dints easier thats pretti kool
Hahahaha...I was about to say they are the before shots..we need the after shots!...That's a good way of pointing out the dings with that striped thing.. BUT... :worthless: AFTER the repairs
Very carefully By levering mainly with all manner of levers and some gentle tapping with a plastic hammer, nice to watch a pro at work.
Doing a little digging, does anyone know how easy it is to get dents out of a standard bonnet, I've got one near the front edge of the bonnet where an old mechanic has pressed down with theirs hands and it wont pop back out... The stock bonnet is aluminium yea? I had a guy come out and its right above one of teh openenings under teh bonnet, but too straight, ie he couldnt get leverage without making a new hole (no no no). Any ideas? Cheers, Andrew
I had a go a couple of years ago on a 280ZX that looked like a golf ball. I think I got one done reasonably well. The other 10 or so were failures. They were all on panels with easy access to the inside I found that you have to be VERY patient and not try to do too much at a time.
I've thought about trying this, and I realise it much more difficult that what it looks. You will need a line board ,or something similar, and some PDR tools otherwise it would be almost impossible for a newbie to be affective. Have been watching some of the videos on Youtube. Have yet to take the plunge and purchase some of the tools mainly because I don't have the time.
