WA - Was driving along Guildford road somewhere between tonkin hwy and swan river at around 850pm and saw the scene of the crash..i think it happened moments beforehand... Midnight blue z, didnt catch the plates, with some sort of bodykit, facing the traffic on the wrong side of the road, front pretty smashed, and the engine was still revving hard, driver was in the car, couldnt see if he was moving or not..... The other car was a hilux or something, front also smashed. I didn't pull over, coz a. There were already several drivers pulling over. b. I Was working. C. I wouldn't be much help anyway. But its not a nice scene. I do hope the driver is ok. And its a tough reminder...slow down and take it easy in the wet.
sucks to hear. hope no one was injured. weird the throttle was open though? i hope that wasn't the cause of the crash, throttle jamming open which has been known to happen to many people.
could be open if the drivers foot was jammed on the pedal after the crash...or pedals were bent...or or or lots of power + shit roads + rain = crash Even the wifes falcon steps out waaaaaay too easy. And thats an auto with traction control that can't be turned off. I do hope the driver is ok, forum member or not. (and anyone else involved)
i've lived through this twice now and i'm not even 19... i wouldnt wish this sort of thing upon anyone, other the personal injury there is so much stress involved at the time of the accident and days/weeks/months afterwoods. still messes with my head now when it rains... i hate it. still thinking about getting ANOTHER zed...:nono:

From a glimpse looked to be a youngish guy, caucasian, early-mid 20's, short/shaved hair The bloke in the hilux was fine enough to park on the side and was walking towards the z wreck.. I think i literally missed the impact by seconds. Ps. Shame that people dont realise the dangers of powerful cars and the wet. Just saw a red z with ferrari tail lights WOT thru a yellow lighted intersection

Worse is the people who think they have powerful cars and try to drive like that. Had a guy driving fairly close behind me yesterday in a new yellow Suzuki Swift, one of those "rally-look" types. Car in front of me slammed on the brakes for whatever reason and I did the same, no problem, I had left room and didn't even break traction. The Suzuki was the same distance again behind me, however his bicycle tyres decided to semi aqua plane due to how fast he slammed on the brakes and he pulled up in the emergency lane just behind me (he swerved into their to avoid hitting me). Now, props for thinking clearly enough to get out the way instead of only braking hard, but I wish people wouldn't assume the traffic is always going to flow perfectly.
Have you seen the add for that car, the guy looks out the window. It's pissing down with rain, cuts to rally footage of a swift. Now he's looking at his thinking, awesome I'm a qualified rally driver! Cuts to tag line.. Every drive's a rally drive.

this was just on the news. 19yo driver in the z32 was hit by the hilux that had RUN A RED LIGHT. 19yo driver of the zed is fighting for his life. poor guy. i hope he pulls through.
Hope the guy pulls through, Sucks when you hear about stuff like this, especially when it happend through no fault of his own.
