Warwick Friday night??

Did anyone else get the email about dinner at Warwick on good friday?? see below....... Are we as zedders doing anything as a group?? or are people going to this dinner?

We have organized and evening meal in Warwick on Easter Friday night as we have been informed that all facitilies will closed. You will need to click on the Z Car Club site below and go to NDN09 update where you will find all the information. There are instruction on how order your meal and on how to transfer funds to pay for it.

..or more positively, sounds like a good reason to fire up the BBQ, PLUS, PLUS ....

make sure yas stock up on drinks from thursday seen can't buy anything on the friday, fri nite will prob be the only nite i'll get to have a few so im not hungover for sunday..

 

Kaos is hosting a BBQ on Friday night with pre-ordered meat, and early arriving Victorians may lend a hand on Thursday to stock up on salads etc.

 

what about fish???

the religious amongst us cant eat meat on good friday.. Not a concern for me because I'm not religious, but just putting it out there for those that may adhere to their religious beliefs...

 

Don't worry their will be plenty of alternatives for those of us that don't eat meat on that friday.

No he means I have ordered some meat through a butcher friend of mine.

What did we do at the SEQ mega meet? That was over Easter wasn't it? Everything was open the whole time we where there I thought...

With approx 70 aus300zx Members attending, Greg (Kaos) and I, have discussed options and my suggestions were as follows:
1. Late arrivals will no doubt grab takeaways en route... estimate 20 may fall into this category (?)
2. Approx 50 will require a feed on Friday night and the BBQ could be fired up for 2 sittings with snags, steak and chops; salad and stuff. Thursday arrivals to liaise with Greg on catering (WYKKED?)
3. All to contribute $ value toward cost of BBQ... nominal $5+ as determined by Kaos/Wykked.
4. BYO grog. No local supplies open GOOD FRIDAY.

Above suggestions are a guideline only and any input is welcome. EOI for BBQ (numbers) also welcome.
Please assist Kaos/Ultimate Kaos with making this event as easy to host as possible.
NB: The Kaos Korral aka Party Central is directly across the road from Coachmans.

Whether I arrive Thurs or Fri will depend upon whether Friday track action is confirmed early enough. Last I heard (2 weeks ago) there was no confirmed ability to get some Friday practice in. No confirmed practice, no come early!

Also, note this email excerpt from the NDSOC secretary to the sender regarding this Friday dinner - he makes a valid point ..... and the bbq referred to is obviously not the one discussed above.

"I cannot access your web site right now however my understanding was that the "Welcome BBQ" price was included in the general entry fee as outlined in the registration information sheet (see below)



Is this now not the case .........???"

I have had some correspondance with the QLD group and it appears that the welcome bbq is from 10am to 2pm. This is too bad for those that may not be able to get there for that time frame, particularly as payment has been made! I think we should make our own plans for dinner, such as the bbq already mentioned.

 

It seems the NDSOC bbq is an afternoon welcoming event and there's a separate dinner at O'Mahoney's pub arranged by NDSOC @ extra cost to all event participants.

I assume therefore we may see RZM, WYKKED and co at the KaosZ bbq ???

well, not speaking for the other victorians, but the first victorian convoy is due to arrive in Warwick around Thursday afternoon. In this convoy will be Wykked, myself (JEDI-77), Peter Black, Kr4usy (without zed) and red32. RedZedMikey will be arriving after us with zxtt-1 (without zed). So I'm assuming that the victorians will be going to the Kaos BBQ..... any comments fellow victorians?
