I could definitely convince the missus that an SS is the ideal family car for me to look at!! (Would definitely fit the family and Baby seat, plus would still hopefully satisfy my petrol-rev-head powerlust!!!)

That looks like a very nice car Pat, I am sure you will get a buyer at that price. you have spent alot of money and time on that car, its a shame you are letting it go. I already have another 300zx now, but would have been intrested. Yeah, would have loved to make one of the cruises, but I've got the little'un on weekends while the missus is working, and from comparative experience I think she would put up with the back seat for about 10 mins max, before chucking a tantrum and inducing an attention ":vomit: " allover the cabin!!!

I'd be happy to show you the old girl again. We're tied up the next few weekends, but keep in touch and I'll pm/email when we're free :zlove:

 

CAR SOLD!!!

The Pat-mobile now has new owners, and a new home!

A nice couple from Tazzy drove her back on the boat last night, and I think they'll be very happy with the old girl. :zlove:
Tazzy members keep your eyes out for the new black Zed roaming Hobart! (I think they jumped on the forum already to get advice anyway.)

There was some new repairs that the garage picked up in the roadworthy inspection, but I gave that report to the new owners and knocked a chip off the price to account for that, so I think all parties were quite happy with the outcome.

After talking to the new owners, there's a turbo kit and further respray in the works, so the old girl is in good hands :zlove:

Thanks. Made it safe and sound. Already booked in for the additional work and onto "roadworthy" status.

Your daughter is beautiful. Hope the birthday party went well and we didn't hold you up too much.

I'm worried though, this is my first real toy and I already have the uncontrollable urge to search for bits for my new toy. Mind you my partner's just as bad

My 10 year old son will see it this afternoon. Can't wait to see his reaction!!

My partner, Rod, has a 1989 burgundy Transam GTA and it is lovely!!! He takes it to car shows around the state and that's where my toy will be heading as well.

I have a lot to learn and I plan to enjoy the journey.

My son Matt thinks it's "as awsome as". He's 10 and he's a hot rod and American cars boy.

Hi Stef,

Thanks. My toy is at the mechanics at the moment and they're going to give her a good once over and fix anything that needs to be fixed for roadworthy and rego in Tas, then we're working out an ongoing maintenance/upgrade plan.

All in all she's in really good nick but there are some things that need to be done and I have some clear ideas of what I want her to look like and I'm not going to rush it or take shortcuts.

Now I have her, I'm going to take good care of her.

As you say there are good people on the forum and I do plan to make the most of it.

yeah, the desease is highly contagious, and if you feed it, only gets more uncontrollable!!! (Especially if your partner loves cars and will encourage you like I'm sure Rod will!!)

(It helps that the piece of clay you've started with was in a fairly tidy condition already if I do say so myself!!:zlove: )
