Who said he would have won. They never checked my notes (or yours).

And, poor Mary would not have been able to focus as they screamed past all the targets, so they can't have got many answers right. We have seen Wokky drive before.

Besides, even if he would have won, he would have won absolutely nothing

    Post run diagnosis and repair

Well I didn't complete the run, but it was great to be there at the start and see you all again at West Head.

Just for info - Checked the timing yesterday when I got home to Canberra - about 21deg BTDC. Of course I adjusted it asap. Good link in the tech section under timing. (Found a use for that inductive timing light that I was thinking of throwing away and found out what that wire loop was for)

This has been the setting since I bought the Z, so I was lucky. I started to experience noticeable overheating only about 4 weeks ago. When I did my 100K service last week I didn't change the CAS adjustment. Car is going much smoother now.

The other problem was that I couldn't get the transmission out of P without using the little knob. On Sunday night I remembered a similar experience and checked. Yes it was the ASCD fuse next to the drivers right foot.

When this blows you lose the Transmission and Cruise Control and Reversing lights. (Conzult comes up with an error under the engine screen diagnostics and the AT screen won't fill)

Don't know what caused it to blow this time but by blowing a few more fuses found that it was blowing when getting out of P into R the first time and locking the transmission subsequently.

Maybe the overheating was causing more current from the transmission and together with the modified headlight reversing lights was drawing more current than the fuse could handle. Removed the globes and no problems on the way home. Replaced the globes today and no problems.

Looking forward to the next cruise. My kids couldn't believe that there were 26 Zs all together! Thanks Geoff. If you need a proofreader next time, remember me. Also a mobile phone number would have been good to let others know that I couldn't complete.

    Regards
    Charles

Sorry that you were unable to complete the run Charles(but happy that you sorted out your problems and made it home without any drama). It was good to see you and the boys again(traveling all the way from ACT deserves better luck than you received).
It was great to see so many Zeds together again(and one GTR).

    Oni's speed bump marathon.......

The 324 speed bumps that were part of Oni's cruise, finally took their toll on the bluezed

One HKS front muffler split from front to rear

With absolutely NO CHANCE of scourcing a replacement muffler, a quick cut and shut was performed by a local exhaust shop to enable my return trip to Whoop Whoop Central

Overall, an enjoyable day. Good to catch up with a few of the "old crew" & nice to meet a couple of new faces. It was worth the 800km round trip to attend BUT ......... I never did get to see Parramatta Lake
