    g'day,
was going to tidy up the engine bay a bit, looking a bit filthy at the moment.
on the passenger side near the strut, there's grimy stuff which i'm struggling to get off, tried degreaser and elbow grease but didn't work.
    can anyone recommend anything?
contemplating getting touch up paint and doing a bit of work around there, sanding it back a bit or something.
    its really bugging me.
    cheers
    Jay

I found WD40 worked better than degreaser.. probably depends on the type of degreaser though, seems the stuff from super cheap etc isn't real good.

Try using eucalyptus oil, thinners or some 'Diggers' Wax and Grease remover.

Try some spray and wipe, the proper branded one, not the black and gold one.

septone "wax and grease remover" is not bad for

most of these sort of applications ....

mmm, few different ones there, will give it a go this weekend hopefully.
maybe i'll mix all together - create an ultra cleaner!!

Ultra cleaner will remove the grease, the paint, some of the metal lol

By far the best thing to use is INOX. It works so well.

Actually, I was thinking Kerosene might work well. I use it as a degreaser quite a bit. But, I'm not sure if it strips paint.

Acid free baby wipes, great for cleaning all surfaces, great for when your out and a bird drops its guts on your car or if you just ate kfc and dont want to get your interior greasy
