I live in the city, hence auto. If I lived in a less populous town, I would have gone for a manual. Mine is an NA, as well as auto, so I prefer to think of it as a true GT rather than a sports car
id go a manual in any situation except for stop start traffic where constantly riding the clutch can be a pain in the arse as well as the fact that you just know that the clutch is suffering.
wrong, very wrong lol hahaha,do ya homework,it only comes in manual The six-speed transmission is considered manual-only -- no automatic transmission is available. However, many enthusiasts argue that in order to be considered manual, a car must have a foot clutch. Since it doesn't have one, these people prefer to call the Enzo?s transmission "sequential," or SM (sequential-manual). The term "semi-automatic" is also used. Almost all of the controls are on the F1-style steering wheel, including the shifting paddles. A series of LEDs on the wheel lets the driver know when the RPMs are high enough to shift, which can be done without removing a hand from the wheel. Other buttons control the selection of gear modes (Sport or Race mode) and a traction control system that can be deactivated.
I know how the Enzo system works. That's why i consider it an automatic. Unless you have to push in a clutch and have that extra thing to worry about it's not a manual. Any monkey can keep their hands on the wheel and press a button when a light tells them too.
and the enzo is no real car... The Big Mac is way better. A Ford GTTT destroys it and there are many other cars that have a better all round package, the F1 is a prime example; no other car in the world can match it on all the aspects. *carrys more people *rides better *has better handling *has a operable clutch (*ie coastable) *more storage volume by ~8x the litres *has more torque *has more torque available at less rpm *higher top speed *central driving position *can skip gears *can run a whole season of racing and only loose 40hp - that is RELIABILITY *etc *etc "The F1 is and probably always will be the best drivers car ever made..." (...ok back to the topic - Z32's)
yeah exactly, im near the city so i'm an auto, i guess it would end up costing you more having to replace the clutch every so often because you keep riding it. But definately manual ftw
I hate auto's because they are boring as shit, i'd prefer to know what gear im in. Automatic Z 0 Fun Factor! AUTO TT Z = SHIT , AUTO N/A Z = ABSOLUTELY CRAP! A Z must be manual if its not you might aswell get a auto R34 Skyline
I can understand the value of an Auto in an A to B car if you live in a big city and are always in stop start traffic. But for a sports car, I would never buy an auto, they just annoy the hell out of me and take all the pleasure out of driving. Also considering I don't live in the city and 90% of my driving is done on country roads, I wouldn't even want an auto in my daily driver. But each to their own I suppose.
Done by Boxstop in woodridge (did Karls and candu's too). I'm not sure what stage it is, I simply asked for firm changes, and enough bite to chirp the wheels from 1st to 2nd, rather than a full on slamming change with an all out traction loss. I got exactly what I asked for. Now I just need more KW under the hood
I put a stage 2 shift kit into my auto.. shifts are awesome now.. would recommend it to anyone with a auto.
speaking of auto grannies lol  as the saying goes edwina,an auto is an auto and will always be an auto :bash: nearly any auto place can put a shift kit in ,pm pexzed ,greg had it done from what he was saying
Putting them in is the easy part (I'm doing my own), it's building them that requires the knowledge. A shift kit (to the person who asked) basically modifies the valve body and the holes in it plus other bits to make the gear changes alot firmer and quicker. Less slippage etc. Actually reduces wear as well.
How do drags work? Is it your reaction time + your time to cover the distance added to give your ET? Or does ET not take into account your reaction time? DISCLAIMER: What I'm about to say could be TOTALLY wrong and is based upon the above being true. I was looking at the drag times and KW readings of some Z's. UAS (456 RWKW - M/T) = 10.7 secs ZX2NV (300 RWKW - M/T) = 12.0 secs Wizard (303 RWKW - A/T) = 12.5 secs Caz (208 RWKW - A/T) = 12.9 secs Now, those RWKW readings could be different to their readings at the drag (some of the dates are close but some are further apart), but if they are true Caz was only a little off ZX2NV with 100 RWKW less and Wizard was equal but both Wizard and Caz had reaction times of over 2 secs, while the other two had R/T's of a sec or less. If that comes off the ET, it seems autos would be quicker at a drag. Of course this could all be wrong if my understanding of E/T is wrong or those RWKW figures are different to what they had going at the drag.
My Convertible is an AUTO and I just love cruising around in it, with the soft top down its in cruising mode no need for manual shifting just plain relaxed cruising BUT my other Zed is a TT manual now that is for spirited driving and much easier to control cheers, Michael. :zlove:
