Yeah tuneagent design is not so good, good product for the price but not the best design in fact little or no better than a single pipe.

CES/UAS ones are definaetly the best performance on the market at the moment although they do have some clearance issues and the DON'T meet the stock cat location. Yes pricey at $450ish each but interestingly enough the price that UAS list is cheaper than what I was quoted from CES??

I'll be using tektrader dumps on my new motor which I reckon will perform as well as CES and fit better too ;)

Have CES been compared to SpecialtyZ downpipes back to back? What were the results? And what is with the dyno charts of the CES ones on UAS website?

well early to mid next year when i get a

Z1 turbo kit, id love to be able to flow heaps more... is there any such thing as too little back pressure in a zorst system, cuz remember, you are only passing 1.5L of zorst gas through... 3" seems like overkill

    what uz guys think?

    Clearance

hi, ZRATED i was just wondering how these would go for clearance, under the car? i have seen a set of CES ones that look similar to the pictures you have provided and they had some major clearance issues... they were just too low to the ground

hey zrated what size would the smaller of the 2 pipes in the picture be

or does that depend on the main sizing ,ie 2.5 gets one size and 3 would get another?

im going to make the clearance as tight as possible without obstructing auto or manual trannys.... want to make it universal.... the design is going to take longer but that doesn't really bother me... want it done properly the first time! :)

I haven't worked that out yet mate... the design is getting fabbed over xmas/new year

As far as copying goes I will make this one statement.

There are only so many ways you can fit a set of dump pipes in a zed due to clearance issues etc. So although the end result may look the same so do most and does not mean they were copied directly. As the old saying goes there is only one way to skin a .?.

A turbocharged zed engine will produce high velocity exhaust gases even from 1.5 litres in capacity (per side). The idea behind going bigger is to relieve as much back pressure as possible which in turn lowers EGT and promotes longer turbo and exhaust life.

i will take some 3 inchers so long as the price isnt too ridiculous

yeah don't know what the go is with that graph.

The big difference with CES ones is the length of the wastegate pipe. Most aftermarket dumps such as tuneagent etc and even some big name brands reintroduce the wastegate gasses waaaay to soon for there to be any real benefit over a single pipe. Not sure what the length of the split section is on the SZ pipes so can't comment there. Haven't seen in person but to look at them I think yes even those ones will still have some turbulence where pipes meet that could be eliminated by a longer split.

I don't think too little pressure is a big concern with a turbocharged motor, but there is definately such thing as overkill. 2.5" is adequate in most applications, even with big HP. Still you are much better off with well designed 3" dumps than shit 2.5" dumps, nothing to lose from going bigger IMHO

    interested

Tom i could be interested price depending - do you expect these to come out comparable to the CES or tuneagents?

    Hi Casey

I'm hoping to top the CES ones.... want to get them flow tested when i'm done to see how the product is compared to CES and TuneAgent...

My guess it will s%&t all over the TuneAgent ones and hopefully squeeze a few more numbers ahead of the CES ones! At an affordable price!
