where is the distributor cap and alternator

On a more serious note, the alternator it is directly under the power steering fluid resevoir

MuNsi - each plug has its own coil pack and the spark is "distributed" to each one in turn by the PTU which in its stock position is bolted to the RH timing belt cover just under the throttle body.

Actually it was 4 spanners, two screwdrivers and a ******* great hammer
