If I can give any advice let it be "Love your family like its the last! Don't go to bed angry, enjoy every minute!"

Today is the happiest day of my life! I didn't think my mum was going to make it through the night :( But she has and is improving minute by minute. :)

Wednesday night she became unwell and asked me to take her to hospital, wtf! She had been sick for a few days but had kept quiet. She is 81 years old.

No heart problems as feared but gall stones. Scheduled for emergency surgery Thu night but held over at the last minute to Friday.

They attempted keyhole but the infection was so bad the gall bladder burst and had to do a bigger job! Lots of puss = lots of infection. Not good for higher milage models like mum. Put into high dependance ward where she will be for some time because they lost a gall stone and have sheduled to go back in Thursday to look for it but couldn't last night because of the infection.

I really didn't think I'd see her again she looked so bad. I can't describe how that feels but I suppose we all eventually must face that demon. :( :( :( :(

But today she has improved a lot but still with a hight temp because of the infection.

I would like to thank the doctors and staff at Westmead Hospital for saving my mum.

    Bless you all
    Geoff.

They named a champagne after Mums. Isn't that appropriate? Mums are the best!
Treasure her, Geoff, especially a vintage one like yours.
My Mum is 85, and maturing nicely!

    Hi Geoff,

Your Mum is in our hearts and prayers(as is your whole family).
Lynn and I were shocked to hear that she had fallen so gravely ill, and are elated to know she is recovering.

After the loss of my parents several years ago, there has been an enormous void. Your Mum & Dad have (in my mind) become pseudo parents, and are two of the most beautiful people I could ever wish to know(although you are a somewhat annoying Brother).

Please give our Mum a huge hug & kisses from both Lynn and I.:zlove::zlove:

    See you soon,

    Lloyd & Lynn:zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove:

OMG, You paranoics are just soooo sensitive!

No punch-line, mate, just liked the way you and Lynn expressed your feelings.
