the fact that you have to do all that to a ca18 just to beat an n/a slug means its a very very crap car
I think he was refering to the 180 as being crap not the NA to me a Z is a Z. I have never driven an NA so i can't comment on it. But the TT:zlove: puts a on my face every time i drive it.
Oh dear Trav, you belong on TT.net where they do nothing but bag NA zeds.... Us aussie's dont do that sort of stuff. Your TT may super fast but I wait for the day when you come on here and start with "Help, my car is blowing smoke, I think my turbo's are rooted".:LOL: Cheers
Yeah, Joe, I realised Trav was referring to the 180 I was just "taking the mick". Next tech day, we'll go for a ride in the NA, and you can experience the qualities of one. The first 5 seconds are the best!:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
So true.....N/A zed owners have..>> ...more money because they do not have to spend so much on repairs and penis...whoops, I mean horsepower extensions. Besides, a well driven N/A, will leave an average driven mega horsepower TT far behind in the twisty stuff. GT (you bag us, expect some in return)
Re: Yeah, Joe, I realised Trav was referring to the 180 it's for those 5 seconds or less, when your touching 40km.. your freeeee!!!:LOL: nah im joking mate, n/a are great car's and more hassle free than the tt's, however that twisty's run comment is a bit far from the truth, i was tailing an n/a zed with cams last night on thw twisty's and there wasnt anything he couldnt do i couldnt do, and like wise through the corners, but when it came to the small straights thats where the differences became apparent, he also had stiffer springs than me..
Far out guys. did you have to reply to my post?? it was ment to be a reply in another thread. "The new post button gets me again"
Re: the fact that you have to do all that to a ca18 just to beat an n/a slug no not really.... my ca18det 180sx would give my TT a VERY good run:embarrassed: sad but true
How do you figure that ? Stock CA18det 180Sx is about 90rwkw with about 30% less bodyweight that a stock Zed NA which is around 110rwkw.
Actually a CA18 180SX is only about 20% lighter than a 2 seater NA 300ZX Coupled with the fact the NA 300ZX has around 20% more power it makes things pretty even in the performance stakes. Considering that the NA 300ZX has more torque and no turbo lag making it more forgiving for the average driver to get the most out of it, I would put my money on the Zed. 180SX ca18det 1170kgs 80-90 rwkws (taken from various sources) 300ZX NA 2 seater 1470kgs 105-115 rwkws
I say nothin To the the comment of well driven NA against the average driven TT yes ... coz your lookin at driver ability... Give me my TT around any road any day against any car .... but as u said driver ability, Raction time to the TT torque curve is essential .... unless your already sideways before the corner ... "DRIFT IT".... "FLAME SUIT ON" It's all just love for the car
Re: yeah, but where are you gonna find a CA18 180SX in stock trim? PMSL!!!!!!! Love it RICE IT UP FOOOL
My point was in relation to. the Ca being "destroyed" by the stock NA,agree that there would not be much between the two. When I bought my CA 180SX is was totally stock, not even a pod filter. With the tiny stock turbo lag was vitually non-existant so it was relatively quick off the mark, ran out of puff in mid range. Owning both a TTzed and a 180, I get a bit annoyed when people bag either one of them on either this forum or Nissan Silvia which is prone to shite posts about Z's from time to time.
