YEAH BABY! after a long long long wait (over a year) i got to drive my zed for the first time today from freo back to hillarys!! omg such a joy to drive and such a head turner. after a wash the black came up so nice and with the targas off it just adds that something to it. Everything is running fine apart from the fact i can't seem to find out how to put on high beams :S when i turn the lights to full on the knob only the little ones and the fog lights come on. Also my oil pressure is fluctuating :S the temp gauge is fine sitting in the middle but when i accelerate the oil pressure goes up to 2-3 but when i am idling it falls just to about 0 :s any help would be great. thanks guy and LONG LIVE THE ZED see you on the wa cruise
Congrats! :thumbsup: I saw mine for the fist time today, the guys at global were nice enough to give me the keys and let me look around for myself, i can't wait till its ready, hopefully in time for the next cruise
To get the high beams to work......>> You turn the headlights on, and then push the indicator stalk away from you (towards the dash). To turn them off you pull it back. The oil pressure sender is a known weak point of the zed. Try the search function for a heap of ways people have tried to fix it. The temperature gauge will sit in the middle until the temperature exceeds 100 degrees. Don't presume everything is fine, check to make sure. Oh yeah.......enjoy the ride.
Stock oil pressure sender is an issue........ That's one of the first signs that it is on the way out or gone. Echlin do a replacement or you can go original Nissan for the sender. My original Nissan one does the same but I don't worry too much about it as I have another oil pressure gauge to put my faith in. With your lights, can you get the main low beams on? Your description of what lights come on was a little too short to work out the problem from here... Happy cruising...
I know what your talking about!!!!! I drove mine home, everyone looked. Even now, when I go for a drive, it like the center of attention. trust me, mine has been on the road only a week and a half, and it only gets better, as you get her sorted. My oil gauge fluctuates also when it is cold, once the engine heats up a little, it is back to normal. congradulation! on your new ride, enjoy and I will see you at the next cruise. :thumbsup:
I envy you... Mine leaves Japan today. Ive been told 18 days to get to Melbourne. Then I figure two or three days till I get to drive it. :zlove:
Clearing think they get 5days to clear it of the wharf Then it goes into storeage if they have problems with it

Ah the joy of driving a zed My first drive was similar I took mine for a drive last weekend and enjoyed the same rush I have had the car for 5 years as a weekend driver. YeeeeeeeeeeeeehAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The new WA zedz seems theres heaps of new ones in WA, I saw two silver ones in Northbridge on Sat and a Dk Blu one in freo.. I was on the Harley, but got my zee out when i got home.. :thumbsup:
