Tried starting my zed after sitting fo 12 months, but have no ignition lights. Cranks over just fine. Have checked fuses drivers kick panel, all seems good. Any suggestions?

You might have to painstakingly trouble shoot with the FSM, and figure where you do have power and don't. The warning/IGN lights on the dash are controlled/linked via fuse, which you have checked. Did you take the fuse fully out and if good, push firmly back in? ( I know sometimes it's just the fuse not always home 100% to get an issue)

If the car cranks over, why need hot wiring? Is the engine getting fuel (fresh fuel) and spark?

    Thankyou for your reply.
When i turn the ignition on, the battery light and exaust temp light come on, however abs is silent and so is the fuel pump. When switched to start, the engine kicks over but doesn't start.
Vehicle is an 89 spicktop n/a auto.
Have checked fuses, driver kick panel, all good. Have checked circuit breakers near brake booster, all have power. Have checked the two green relays in the under bonnet fuse box, they both click when ignition is turned on, also checked the fuses, all good. From memory I think 3 X red lights come on when ignition is switched on (not sure) Everything else electrical on the car works, eg lights, windows and so on.
Have checked spark plugs for spark, definitely no spark.

I know you said that the ignition relay under the bonnet clicked when you turned ignition on but do you then have power/voltage on outlet side of that relay?

Is the power outlet no.5 / bottom left prong.?

With both relays removed, I still see these lights when ignition switched on. 20220826_092729.jpg

With two green relays removed and key switched off, there is 12v at terminal 3 and 5 in fuse box. Am I putting relays back, and with ignition on test terminals 1and 2 for power?

Update. Relays in, ignition on, there is power at terminal 2 on relay.

Two prongs on right side have 24hr power. With relay installed and ignition turned on, there is power bottom left prong. 20220826_100455.jpg

No spark: IGN signal testing EF-EC Diagnostic Procedure 27 (page varies depending on FSM )
No fuel : Fuel pump EF-EC Diagnostic Procedure 39 or 41 (depending on FSM )

check your CAS plug for corrosion, if the CAS is disconnected or not getting power the fuel pump also doesnt pulse

Update. Connectors on CAS look good.
I have good spark on plugs.
Fuel pump still not priming, definitely no pressure in line. Fuel guage not working.

Are you getting power to the fuel pump? Have you checked that you have power on outlet of Fuel pump relay. Check the earth connection at Fuel pump and Fuel tank level sender unit., both on fuel tank sometimes they use same earthing point. You may have a problem with FPCM. there is a procedure to bypass this in Tech Section. Also you may like to remove CAS and ensure that Fuel injectors are pulsing (audible click) as you rotate CAS drive shaft (obviously with CAS plugged in and ignition on. Just a few suggestions. Good luck, welcome to the wonderful world of Z32 300zx

With the voltmeter connected to plug above fuel pump, I have 12volt for approx. 1 second, then drops to zero,(when ignition is switched on.) whilst cranking the voltage reads approx. 9.5volt.
Side note. When I disconnect the cas plug and reconnect it, I hear a click on top of engine towards the back.

CAS is working by sound of it.So Fuel pump doesnt run and you have no fuel in fuel lines? correct Have you ensured that fuel pump earth to car chassis is good, easy done by checking voltage on connection to earth while ignition is on, should be zero. Any voltage measurement here means you have bad earth connection. Go so Super cheap Auto and buy a can of "Start Ya Bastard" about $10. Remove engine air filters and spray into both engine inlets while cranking engine, it will fire if you have a spark. Then you know its fuel issue

Battery voltage is a bit low while cranking engine, shouldnt drop below 10.5 volts.

Used the old Start ya bustard yesterday, she fired nicely. Didn't run. Disconnected fuel line, it just dribbled.

Fuel pump earth to car chassis. Where is this located?
