Went looking for a new or used OEM engine undertray / splash guard. Part number 75831-30P00 according to the old parts fische.
This matches the part number on Concept Zed Performances' site, listed @ $197 USD plus freight.

Turns out it's the same part number for the Aus delivered N/A cars, it's the same part across the entire Z32 range as far as I can tell. Local Nissan dealer in Central Vic can supply it for $236.14 plus GST, no freight charges. Up to 8 weeks wait but I'm in no great hurry for it.

Some say go with an aftermarket aluminium undertray. Pros & cons?
Weekender car, not slammed, but local roads are not always Metro quality so a bit of flex in the undertray might be good for me. Opinions based on experience are welcomed :)

Pros with the under tray/splash guards. Drop something and it doesn't fall to the ground. Also down side if can't reach said dropped item.

Under tray metal or plastic is fine, less your car is lowered and you park at shops with high parking bay wheel stops (break front lip too)

OEM under tray buy new only. Old just wants to break up.

Was going to comment they should be new for about $250. Only real downside of an OE tray is that they will absorb oil etc over time and break down.

Sounds like you've played this game before :D Magnets on sticks plus a drain camera are both part of my Zed toolkit.

Agreed. The original one was a bit average after 20 years when I bought the car, managed to get another 13 years out of it but I'm fed up with trimming the dags off it. It's more void than tray these days. But a new OEM tray will see me out :)
