Hi, Just signed up and came across this. Thank you for posting this up. Fingers crossed someone gets in contact!
Yes, there is a Facebook page for Australia called Aus300zx. It's Facebook so it's just a disorganized, unsearchable feed of crap, but it gets a lot more traffic than here so it might be worth a shot, someone might know someone who has what you're looking for. Also you could try creating a wanted ad on Facebook Marketplace in the vehicles section, might get more attention. Did you use the SA govt EzyReg app? Looks like both cars come up as unregistered. Makes me wonder if they really are, or if they come up like that if the plate has been changed or if they've been taken interstate.
Will do, Yes ive checked ezy reg. , from previous cars when they get registered interstate the plate no longer exists here. So im hoping that both cars are still in S.A being there still linked to the cars. Transport SA will not give out any details either.
Hmm... Maybe the best you could hope for is that the new owner might've blown a head gasket and then left it sitting in a shed since, hoping to fix it one day.
Or maybe had some corroded electrical connectors and a mechanic told him the engine was fuct? This has happened before, has led to some "barn find" Zeds in great nick for very low prices.
Was unable to locate my old 300zx, i did happen to find and purchase a factory Twin Turbo 2 seater manual slicktop in ultra red. All confirmed by build plate... Quite a hard car to find!
Well... I was randomly searching and found my old 2seater non turbo targa Z, not far from me... Its a shame the condition its now in.
Ended up purchasing another Z, even if i didnt i doubt i would have purchased this back. It looks extremely rough in photos so i can only imagine what its like in the flesh.. Its done less than 10,000kms in 15years. Mech. it was A1 with full Jdm/Aust. service history on time. Picture below is my other Z i was searching for. This 1 i would still consider even if its a shell..
Viewed the car yesterday as he was passing through. Nice bloke, had a good chat. He hasnt owned it for long. Its sat in a yard for the last 10years. Last rego ran out 2010 / 5. Its a real shame, requires a full resto. , so much dust throughout the car.. Itd be a nightmare cleaning the interior of it alone!
