Looks like NA extractors will form the base to my single turbo manifold

So i may have sorted the smoking on deceleration issue. I installed a new turbosmart OPR40 oil pressure regulator and the car didnt smoke at all on a test drive.

Heres a pic of my standalone oiling setup. 1 pump to feed oil pressure to the turbo with the OPR40, overpressure bleed line to top of the reservoir and another pump after the turbo drain to return oil to the reservoir. Next step is to do a road tune and get the fueling lined out and we will go from there.

Ok so the smoke is still there but not nearly as much as before. There still seems to be some in the housing from before so we are going to clean it all out and re-mount my lower pump to be lower than the turbo.

Seems the stock TT pump is dead. Anything over 4000RPM and 7psi leans out. Left the car with my cousin and hes wired in my walbro 480 fuel pump and will re mount the lower scavenge pump.

Walbro fuel pump is in, no more leaning out. Drove the car around a bit last week, its very fascinating how quickly the 42R can be forced to come on. I'm going to experiment with bypass valves and a smaller big turbo in the future, my current setup is dropping the small turbos boost by whatever the 42R runs.

So at 15psi total boost if the 42R runs 5psi the remaining 10 is fed by the stockers. I'll be aiming to run more boost out of the 42R and have the stockers drop to 2-4psi. Enough for them to contribute and not be "in the way" like they would if i dropped them completely.

I have had this setup at 26psi without touching the 42Rs wastegate pressure.

Ok, so i decided to do the opposite of what i planned and just bought a DBB GTX3584RS GenII to replace the GT4202. It outflows the 42 at lower pressure ratios and still flows ~90lb/min up top. Should be an interesting experiment.

Well its finally here, GTX3584RS GenII. 1.01 Vband turbine housing. Funny how light and compact this thing is, feels like 5 or 6kg max. The GT4202 weighs 17kg on its own.

Crazy how turbo tech continues to change, massive form factor difference for same/similar flow. Very cool!

Sits a little further back due to the T4 to vband adapter i had made but still fits fairly well. Just waiting on my drain fitting and a pod filter before i go run 40psi

Ok well first drive was ok, car has a heap of boost leaks at the moment but the gtx35 almost outspools the stock turbos.

Ok, so i got the smoking sorted and the new setup is working properly. In 3rd gear i got 20psi by 4500rpm on a low boost setting. The car absolutely hammers and is much quicker than it was at 300kw. Im now keen to see what its like with another 10psi.

    Quick pull at 20psi.

Took the car for a quick drive to check boost response.

3rd gear stock turbos make 18psi by 4000rpm, gtx35 screamer opens at 4500rpm.

4th gear stock turbos make 18psi by 37-3800, screamer for gtx35 opens at 42-4300.

Bear in mind im currently running the car in sequential mode instead of true compound which affects response but allows me to run lower total boost pressures.

Ok, 1 bar spring in the 60mm gate now. Response is exactly the same. Gtx hits 1 bar at 4500rpm in 3rd, the flexibility of this setup is really crazy.

Still need to give this thing a proper road tune, im pegging the sensor at 10:1 on boost.

Still super rich, but it goes fairly well.

Well, had a bit of an issue with the car losing a whole heap of low down power. Checked compression at 130-135 at all 6, however i checked my ignition with a timing light and i had to turn my CAS completely counter clockwise to get 15°, bear in mind even beforehand it was almost all the way over but this time to had to go completely counter clockwise. Tested 2 different CAS.

Also accidently hit 40psi a little while ago, trying new boost control setup

Oops, everything still in one piece? You'll need a new boost gauge haha

Still runs fine, had plenty of fuel in it and timing wasnt super aggressive. Nah i had the vacuum lines routed to basically keep both the stockers and gtx35 on at the same time instead of having the stockies drop off. 20psi out of both saw 40psi total.
