Hi Everyone, Has anyone converted their instrument cluster to interface a digital display speedo. My speedo has been intermittent now for sometime and has finally died. I'm guessing I probably could repair it however I've always found it difficult to read when driving anyway. A digital number would be much easier to read.
My preference is stick with a gauge in the dash, don't want heads, no GPS and no OBD as I no longer have a Nissan ECU. So if there is anyone out there, please post or send me a picture.
Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
    Happy Easter to all.

Digital display is not better, as My Black Z31 had digital display, when sun was from behind, it was Impossible to read. Analogue gauges are easier to read. Digital really needs to enclosed so only from the driver's view point it could be seen. So that the Sun can't shine directly on it, no matter it's angle.

Thanks for the input. I do agree the old Z31 dash was a little crappy however the new digital gauges have better contrast and brighter displays. I have a little trouble focusing and reading the speedo so given its finally died its time to do something about it. Not sure if anyone has done a digital conversion so thought I'd throw the question out there. I have already gone digital for the trans. See picture. The display shows P for park, R for Reverse, - for Neutral, when in drive 1 2 3 4 and 4. (4th in lockup) depending on the gear the transmission is in, 2 for 2nd and 1 for Low. A few other neat features of the trans controller, has a display where the old clock was. If I find something and can make it work will post a picture.

So many digital speedometer gauges are GPS driven that you mount on your dash as an accessory. I did come across this. https://automotivesuperstore.com.au/saas-sg31632. While it's analogue dial , it does have a digital display of the speed
