No repairers open to ask question, so "is a Z32 vacuum (brake) booster with obviously damaged diaphragm repairable"?

    IB ?????

Might take a bit of searching (unless it's in the tech section) but someone used a repair kit (think it might have been for a patrol).

Have found used booster in good, tested condition and am about to start installation. I am partially disabled so can't do the under dash work myself and will need to find brake specialist mechanic on the Sunny Coast and to make it easier and quicker i will need to brief him / her on what they are going to find under there and how they are going to go about removing the booster, but I can't find any tech articles on this.

I have been advised to remove the drivers seat which I am about to do and would really appreciate any tech articles and some good "under dash" pictures if anybody has, or has access to any - from an auto would be perfect.
    PM me please, and thanks

No need to remove the seat - it is a fairly straightforward procedure I’d just leave it up to the mechanic to work around.

It’s six nuts and a clevis pin.

Job done. Had already taken MC off and removed drivers seat (simple - 2 bolts, 2 nuts, 1 connector, 10 minutes) which really enabled easy access for the mechanic, who had done one before, laying down under the dash. Old one out, replacement in, pedal movement specs checked, done and dusted in 25 minutes. Replaced and reconnected vacuum connections, MC, and other stuff that had to be removed for access, replaced seat, all done in 45 mins.

There are quite a few on-line "horror stories" about this job (cutting bolts off, enlarging hole in firewall to name two), but I'm sure most are from owners of LHD vehicles - there is much less room to remove old booster on the left hand side of the engine bay.

Job done, cost very ok, happy camper.
