We got a really good deal on these and this is what's left over

I replaced mine as preventative maintenance because my slave cylinder had a bit of fluid on the boot (a sure sign of failing seals), AND, it's false economy to only replace just one of your cylinders, because when one fails the other is never far behind

TT Clutch Master & Slave cylinder only $99 the pair (mates rates)

I also have some Stainless Steel braided clutch lines. These are custom made for the zed and go directly from Master to Slave cylinder, eliminating all the oem plumbing and making clutch bleeding a simple job. These are top quality Stainless Steel braided lines with Stainless Steel fittings and protective outer sheath, these lines also eliminate the highly inefficient 'Banjo bolt' found on the oem system  (Provides a vast improvement in pedal 'feel' and a much more positive clutch action, and Banjo fittings are prone to weeping)

I had a similar SS clutch line made up at a cost of $120 and this line is a much higher quality item @ $69.90

    Shipping :-
$12.45 Postpak for the Master & Slave cylinders
$9.20 Postpak for the SS braided clutch line
If you purchase both, the whole lot will fit in a $15.70 Postpak

PM me for details or if you have any questions

Note : The SS braided Clutch line can be used on NA & TT zeds

    Preventative maintenance .......

Clutch Master and Slave cylinders slowly deteriorate over time (slight weepage at either cylinder, or traces of fluid on the rubber hose is a sure sign they are on their way out), but most people choose to ignore the tell tale signs and seem surprised when the inevitable failure occurs

Preventative maintenance is so called because it allows you to replace failing parts in the comfort of your own garage (or your mechanics) before they expire in the middle of nowhere leaving your wallet at the mercy of the local tilt tray driver

You can still drive without operating the clutch but yes much better to change before you have to test out your skills

Agreed ..... happened to me about 15yrs ago. I was 400kms from home so I drove clutchless for about 360kms, but once I started to get to the outskirts of Sydney it was less hassle to get a tilt tray :)

That was when I decided that preventative maintenance was the key to happy zed ownership

Yeah its just starting off in first gear at the lights that makes you feel bad for the poor started motor.

I’ve been asked to provide some details on the SS lines ..........

These lines are a 1000% improvement over the oem clutch line setup, this is definitely one of the best mods I ever did on the zed. Anyone who's bled a zed knows what a real PITA the oem system is. Some people jack the front of the car up as high as possible to try and get the air to rise to the inner guard bleed point, then bleed both points, and still can't get it right.

Multiple bottles of brake fluid and 45 minutes later, most people give up and hope the remaining air will work it's way out of the system.

A half bottle of fluid plus 5 minutes of my time and I completely purged the whole system of air when I fitted my new Master and Slave cylinders with this SS line.

I had a mate pushing the clutch pedal for me while I bled the system, but if you're on your own I reckon you could easily gravity bleed this setup.

Even if you don't need a new Master & Slave cylinder, replacing your 25yr old spongey rubber line with this SS braided line is good routine maintenance, and eliminating the 'poor excuse for a fitting' Banjo bolt, is a giant improvement. The Banjo bolt fitting inhibits the free flow of fluid to the slave cylinder, and is also prone to leaking or weeping fluid due to it's reliance on crush washers to seal the system. This new line uses a superior ball flare fitting in place of the Banjo bolt, providing a positive leak free connection (similar to a brake line fitting) and ensuring your fluid flow in the line is totally unimpaired. These lines are brilliant in both design and function (and they look pretty cool too)

IMHO these lines are an absolute MUST on a manual 300zx

FREE shipping on SS Clutch lines for Xmas .........

All the SS Clutch lines I have are SOLD but I have contacted the supplier and they are prepared to continue that price and will also provide FREE shipping on all SS clutch line purchases made before 1st January

I still have ONE pair of Clutch Master/Slave cylinders remaining @ $99 and the supplier can no longer supply me at this price, so you'd better be quick on this set

PM me to purchase or if you have any questions

p.s there are other varieties of 300zx clutch line available but these lines are 'head and shoulders' above anything else on the market. It's obvious these lines were designed on a 300zx rather than on a drawing board, as they overcome ALL the shortcomings of the 300zx oem system, rather than the band aid solutions provided by other clutch lines
