We are trying to install new harness connecting alternator to transmission to connectors behind the r/h headlight. Car has hicas installed and am hoping someone can advise re correct routing of that section of the harness behind the headlight particularly regarding its positioning behind or in front of the hicas hydraulic hoses. Blue dots indicate cable in question. Red dots identify the receiving connectors.

stock that trans loom is supposed to be routed up the driver's side engine mount, behind the PS pump and then from there along chassis rail to the receiving connectors.

Thanks for that info - most helpful - helped also to identify one of the many brackets which we removed 14 years (ago and are having difficulty in identifying !) in prep. for engine rebuild & painting. One more question - does the same cable travel down the side of the engine between the oil filter and the block OR does it travel down the side of the chassis rail and then to the transmission housing ?

Down side of chassis rail, not the oil filter block as assuming it's TT gets very hot and cramped there.

There is a bracket next to steering rack on the chassis rail itself which has connectors as well. Whether you use it or not is another thing, most of the brackets in the car are totally useless and I've binned most of it.
