Ok, time to get some new wheels for the Zed. Saw some gold works meisters that I fell in love with on the weekend, but apparently the wrong size for my car. Wheel sizes is one thing I'm not good at, so c'mon, help me guys.:):)

So, I'm after 18's or 19's. Currently have old school 17's, want something bigger. So what sizes can I comfortably fit on my zed, in regards to offset, width etc etc. My car is lowered slightly from factory height, but nothing crazy. And I would like the rims to sit fairly flush like my current wheels do, but without having to run crazy camber or guard rolling. Is this possible? My current rims dont have sizes on them, so I cant use them as a guide. But I'm currently running 235 at the front and 255 at the rear. Happy to go a little larger at the rear.

So tell me the numbers, what do I need?

Offset and width effect each other so hard to give you a "between these numbers" guide. What were the specs on the meisters?

Alternatively you can just use a site like this, plug in you current specs and those of any wheels you're looking at and it'll tell you how far the outer face and inner face will move, you can grab a ruler and see if you think that'll fit.

18 x 8.5 or 9 +20odd front (heavily dependant on test fit for caliper clearance)
    18 x 10 + 38 rear

2nd this, should be fine if sensible ride height which I know Mark's car would definitely be at.

If +20 offset, highly suggest no more than 8.5. Can definitely get away with little camber but very much ride height dependent.

Mine has -2 degrees at the front with 8.5 +25. Running 245/40/18 and it rubs on the inner liner and the guard. Had to roll em.

Rear 9.5 + 30 with 265/35/18 -1 degree. Just fits, not pumped, only rolled and under heavy compression it still scrubs just a bit. Am on the limit of lowered without being slammed and tucking tyre.

I got new wheels end of last year that didn't require any modding at all (which was the plan). Just had to dial a tad more negative camber in the rear.

    Front: 18x9+30
    Rear: 18x10+38

but it also depends on the tyres you put on them.

I would have a serious rethink about fitting 19" wheels, primarily based on the harshness of the ride.

I always liked 17's. It was the optional wheel size on the Z32. I also like slightly wider rubber for that tougher look and it protects the rims.
But they don't make the tyres wide enough anymore so I had to put 255 on the rear and drop a size on front.
These days you would need a smaller offset to sit the edge of the rims closer to the side of the car (flusher fit) if you were using 17's

Go with 18's because you can get your tyre choices.
There is enough rubber between the wheel and road to soak up little road surface issues. You can get your 255 front and 275 rear with offsets on 8' / 9' rims to suit.
