later models (series 4) for sale in Japan.

    Link - 1999, Twin Turbo Manual, 22,000km. AUD 41K

Link - 2000, Twin Turbo, Manual, Recaros, Coilover, Aftermarket Exhaust, 45,000 km. AUD 37K

Link - 1999 Twin Turbo, Auto, 46,000 KM. AUD 31K

Link - 1998, NA Auto, One owner, 7000 Km. AUD 21K

    Link - 2000 NA Auto, 44,000 Km. AUD 14K

Link - And my favour when considering what it is and the cost, 1999 Twin Turbo Auto, 60,000 Km. AUD 11.5K (great value IMHO)

I get the feeling that 1999/2000 TT's Manuals from factory are 2 (maybe 2.5) times more expensive than a 1999/2000 TT Auto. But as many people like to point out (correctly) they aren't able to be imported unless you live there and own it for a year

On a personal note, my wife and I are presently debating if she will go back to Japan this year with the kids so they can have a year or two in Japan before they are High School age and life gets serious. My Job might be gone in 12 months so I could go hang out for the second year, If that were to happen I'd be going a low km 2008/2009 RHD Porsche Cayman S for 25K AUD or a low km 911 mid 2000's for 25K-30K AUD, if we are both there can get 2 cars, be really hard to get a mint series 4 zed over many 7-12 year old euro, Example, 2005 RHD Aston Martin DB9, 42,000 Km, 5.9 litre V12. AUD 57K

    Import Rules

I have read some where or been told that the import rules are changing this year, I had envisioned bringing in a later model car from the UK but at the moment it is on hold. It would probably pay to research the new import rules. Rumour has it that cars will be limited by mileage and age and there will still be a cut off date for the classics to be brought in.

I have to say, those prices are more than I would have assumed.

Love the Z32 though I do, and rare as the late models are over here, I just couldn't do it.

They'll go down in value before they go up.

Re the Aston, VERY nice. Again, not sure where they're headed price wise but I've been looking at DB7's already in Australia lately and man they are tempting.

Problem with the DB7 is, you could get the same looks and power for much less, buy getting a Jag XK8 or XKR, but man they're still nice. And all suffer from "ford switch gear". Great for affordability of parts. Bad for prestige and resale value.

Again though, can't really tell where the prices are heading myself. But that said, it's not all about that.

If anyone is dead keen on a late model Z, everything has a price.
