:br: Ok fitted 300kmh speedo but when you hit the key power on speedo jumps 20 kmh not moving .Runs even when on the go but 20 kmh above what its ment to be.Turn key off and sits on o . I notice some speedo have one bulb missing out the back of gage ? I put this one in with same bulb set up as what was already with the 180kmh. So looks like out it comes put 180 back send the 300 to be reset I knew to do that first off lol :agree:
I could be wrong.... but based on the photo you posted of your 300 cluster in another thread, it doesn't look like a factory 300km/hr cluster. I've personally only ever seen the clusters with only a Z on them as an aftermarket face conversion on factory 180km/hr clusters... requiring a resistor to be soldered in, and prone to failure.

When I had a dry soldered joint behind the speedo a few years ago one of the symptoms was the speedo would jump all over the place higher readings as well as lower. Not saying you have a dry soldered joint but perhaps somewhere a bad connection ?
My money is on a incorrectly located needle. They have to be pulled off to put the new face on, then put back on. If they stuffed it up and put it at 20 rather than zero, the weight of the needle will pull it down to the stop when it's off, but will then go to what it thinks is zero (actually 20kph in this case) and then remain 20kph over the actual speed.

PS yes as I drive it it works fine and I wont get booked over x mass if I drive it reading 20kmh to fast lol :br::zlove::rolleyes2:
definitely wouldn't be forking out $1000 for a TK cluster...... considering I sold it to the current seller for half that. Personally just purchased a brand new IMPUL 300km/hr speedo for a fraction of that amount. Clusters do come up from time to time at a pretty good price on yahoo auctions. Go through Jesse Streeter, and you'd be surprised at how little extra you can get it landed to your door
Aus spec clusters are the best! 260kph, factory calibration and decent enough graduations you aren't guessing if you're doing 50 or 60kph because it's hard to get the needle in the right place.
