:zlove: I rego 85 GSXR750F 88 GSXR750J 86 Toyota Celica 90 Nissan ZX300 TT 92 VP Commodore,so stop bitching lol:br:
Classic car insurance :zlove: My classic car insurance is about $185 ,because I'am 75 year old I pay no Rego but still have to pay for Pink Slip inspection & Greenslip Insurance .
didn't they just recently change the rules for club rego in NSW? I have 2 bikes, both 1991 and the zed is 1992. I was getting excited as it was just coming up to 25 years... and then I read they bumped it up to 30 yrs. Apparently bludgers had been milking the system by not filling in the log books in order to get cheap rego for their bombed out 80s corollas and vn commys with no brakes, suspension and tyres. But its to be expected. Cost of living will never go down... They keep doing the same with my green slip. It's supposed to get cheaper when I finally hit 30 but knowing them, they'll change it just when I'm almost eligible
One place that I haven't been is New Caledonia but I will get there eventually Regarding the tax ... Mate we pay way too much of it and that money doesn't go to the right places... One example: Why we are buying F-35 and of who's money that is getting purchased with? Not to mention property prices before housing boom and todays prices, no other comment than wtf ??? If you think of our youngsters and what's them chances of owning them own home and paying it off in them lifetime is less then 1% chance of possibility. All that on the side... Now if you put all that in perspective and some local in Fiji tels you it is "Fiji time" consider that you have spent there few days, you can scene a true meaning of what that actually means
Don't let this turn into a dick measuring contest... 05 MV Augusta F4 85 Honda 250 GSX 10 Audi S5 04 Murcielago 01 550 Maranello 98 993 Turbo Plus full comp insurance on the lot of it.
Couldn't find one with matching numbers, too many 930's have been butchered, and the 993 was possibly a more relevant car in Porsche's history. Picked it up in December on a trip back to the mainland. Aussie delivered in Black on cream interior. Needs some TLC on interior and paint, but all the numbers match and everything is original. Good to tuck into the garage for a rainy day. I still want a 930...but might settle for a bitza or a LHD under the classic car regs. But I need to stop, insurance is due in 2 weeks and with the price rises they've increased the insured value on all the vehicles. Either that or sell a share on half the garage and start a little club, but I'm selfish.
993 the nicer option all day long, very nice colour combination too. 993 & 550 both classify for veteran/vintage/classic cover insurance policies from nrma/racv/etc. Would suggest an enquiry, at the lower end of the market at least (z32 & all the skylines) they're destroying shannon's with premiums while offering better agreed values. I'd be selfish too, keep the garage solo.
Yeah, I've shopped around, I'm getting the best price at about 1% of insured value. Still adds up though. Age has some value to insurance Corperations. :zlove: It has been 30yrs old rules in my Historical Car Club for years. That is why I think the value of ZX's will improve as they become 30yrs old from the date of manufacture. Green slip charges become a increased $ premium at my age. [75yrs old!]
My Greenslip has just gone up to $900 alone, been going up steadily over the past 7 years with NRMA, Going to switch to somewhere else.
Buy a letter box out in woopwoop? greenslip prices in sydney metro post codes aren't exactly fair... :/ I seriously considered changing my address to the old mans place up in newcastle. How do they even police and enforce where you park?
Rego in Tasmania is around $560 for the Z. She is a '92 TT and that is standard for a 3 litre 6 pot. Full comprehensive with Shannons is around $540.00 with a $200 excess. Good to deal with too. I was recently backed into and had the rubbish veilside rear wing smashed. Bonus!! My only complaint was their internal communication. It took forever for their assessor to know he had to look at it. Just a comms breakdown. If you drive a TT please ensure your insurance company has listed you properly. I was with APIA and provided all details and asked all the right questions. I also advised it was an import never available Australian delivered. Advised no problem and issued a policy. Subsequently I made a claim after the Formby Hotel backed into me and burst the stupid veilside wing and it went through fine. The 2nd renewal came in and I actually read the documentation. The car was described as a 300ZX fuel injected and no mention of turbocharged. Alarm bells! I then visited the APIA office which was right next door to my Travel Agency and discovered I was not covered despite having disclosed the vehicle history and configuration and having even having made a successful claim. There is a hidden danger though. Please all check into the fine details of your insurance. It is quite likely that if you drive an import TT or even import NA that your insurance dudes have a way to walk away from a claim. This is just a word of warning due to a potential minefield I nearly walked into. CHECK!! It will take a little in time but may save you a fortune or even your Z. Best all MGR Ron
Always read the fine print! Almost all insurances will insured 300zx but if there is any mod's/paint job's done to the car ... Just cars insurance is the way to go...
I would go with justcar but lost my licence in 2012 for driving the TT on Ps. Need to have 5 years clean record... I think shannons was even worse
