Hicas bypass fitting?

    Hi guys,

    Purchased this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221840582246?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Fitted the bar itself fine and was very impressed with the quality and fit of the product. All was good until I went to fit the bypass fitting to the fail safe valve. It simply doesn't line up with the threaded holes in the valve. Has anyone else experienced this?

Even with the thick washer and longer bolt the fitting is far to long and doesn't need the bend in it. Am I missing something? I though all hydraulic hicas zeds were the same. Its a 93 TT 2+2.

Also if anyone has a spare fitting laying around that goes in the engine bay (remove solenoid) I would be very interested.

    Thank you, Luke

It say This comprehensive Total HICAS Eliminator kit
so give them an email. Did it come with clear fitting instructions ? as you may be putting the hydraulic parts in the wrong position.
    Good Luck

    Thanks for your help.
No it didn't come with any paperwork. I will shoot them an email tomorrow.

My car is different to those in the stillen instructions. Mine had steel lines going to the hicas rack. Not flexible rubber hoses. My fail safe valve looks very similar to theirs however the threaded fittings side by side. Ill let you know if I figure it out.

    If that was my car.
I would leave electric hicas in the vehicle if that is electric system.
Hydraulic hicas system would go out...
