As per this thread I had the wheel redone. Now its time to refit.

Is there anything i need to take into consideration before refitting? Do i need consult to check make sure everything is ok? Or just put it on straight get and line everything up? I had a look in the manual and it has no mention of using consult to refit.

Car is a 1994 with Elec Hicas which has been removed and has the factory airbag steering wheel.

If you have ConZult (not the free version) it will assist in centring the steering shaft.
If you have an active airbag system, you'll have to set the clock spring as per the manual.

I've removed & refit 3 airbag steering wheels :) make sure battery is disconnected for a few minutes before reconnecting any of the airbag connectors, make sure spiral cable is centered (best to double check, think it's 2.5 revolutions from either lock) & that's it. Never needed Consult, system checks itself each start up anyway

Only thing I had to do was to put the airbag into diagnostics mode and then back to normal to get rid of a constantly flashing airbag light after the refit.

By any chance do you have a full version of consult?
