For Sale 1998 TT Targa Auto Black. for SE Qld buyers it is listed on Gumtree for $5000. Evrything works and looks good. Comes with roadworthy and rego till Feb 2015. all details are listed on Gumtree. located in Doonan near Noosa. Would also consider swap for cruiser style Mororcycle over 750 cc. cheers paul

He has made a typo with the year, I probably would have maxed out the credit card if it was really a 1998.
In QLD we have that new rego check app.

It says the car is a 1989
    VIN is 6U90000GZ32500574

He also typo'ed his rego plate it should be 630-LJK

Dam not doing well..... yes rego is 630 LJK . Apparently this model does not need compliance plate . that was checked with Qld transport when roadworthy was done last week.

I have had questions about Compliance plate issue. The mechanic that did roadworthy rang Queensland Transport dept while i was there. They checked vin number and said it does not require a compliance plate for that model. they knew it was an Import. I also have on my copy of roadworthy report that compliance was checked and approved. What more can i say? Hope this answers any concerns people may have. I am sure it would not be registered if it did not comply. cheers Paul

That's right, cars brought in under the 15 year rule don't require a compliance plate, instead they just had a (longer) australian vin stamped on to the body. Registration in Qld won't be a problem however, if you go to register it in a different state they will require proof of import and most likely engineering/compliance.

You can register it in Victoria, you just need to show it was previously registered. I had this problem when I bought a zed from WA.
