Blower not blowing

    Yes I am talking about my car ;)

    So my demister fans don't work. It seems like they turn on and make sound but nothing really comes out. Is this the blower that has broken or something else?

    When it rains it's very hard to see so have to wind the window down and get wet

    I had a look through the glove box area and noticed that this if isn't connected to anything, what is it? Does it have to be?

    Keep in mind that your heatercore is bypassed so if you're trying to pump hot air nothing will happen...

    inside your dash is a heater box... not the core.. the box. which has actuators and stuff which direct air around.. a new box will be easiest option to fix it.

    i got one here you can have for next to nothing

    Thanks Rob, So nothing comes out either way, but if I had it on hot would it it blow cold air or no air?

    Yeah how much are you looking for it? Where are you located? Is it pretty easy to swap? Glove box off and try and do it that way? Thanks

    To be honest I'm not 100% sure how the climate control system works. Usually everything stays closed until the air in CC system reaches the programmed temperature, then the vents open up and it starts circulating through the cabin.

    a bottle of alcohol or a slab or beer... doesnt phase me.. but since your not local just swing me some cash.

    postage wouldnt be fun though. its quite a big box.. and i think its a dash out job..

    dash removal isnt that hard... its got about 20 screws.. i pull dashes in under an hour and get it back in in slightly over an hour...

    Can you feel a little bit of air coming out or nothing at all? I had a 180 with a similar problem, blower motor sounded like it was going at full speed but hardly any air coming out of the vents. Was exactly the same as the z32 blower motor so replaced it and was back to normal. Must've just been worn out.

    Yeah that is exactly the issue, it sounds like it's going hard but hardly anything. At least I know what I need to do :) thanks

    Sounds good to me, wanna get a costing for postage and we can work something out. How old is it? In good working order?
